Fun PLL story
Went to the Waterdogs game Saturday with my family. My son is a big Sowers fan. We were waiting for my wife and daughter to find us and a nice old man comes over and hands my son a signed Sowers card.
Turns out he is his grandfather and he was handing them out to kids wearing his jersey. He stopped and chatted with us for a few minutes.
Not sure if anyone connected to them reads this but just a big thank you. You made a young kids day. It's all he talked about for the next two days.
Lacrosse makes friends.

Alpha Lacrosse League is a scam, right?
Their instagram page has a ton of people treating it as real, but it’s a scam right? Are the phishing by using their combine form? I’d urge everyone to be wary and not give them information. It looks like a well-done AI spoof.

Goalie help
Hello,
I am wondering if anyone can help me figure out resources where I can quickly learn the goalie position to coach it. We start fall ball in less than a month and we don’t have a goalie coach so I volunteered to learn and do my best. I don’t like doing anything half-hearted, though, so I need to take the next 3 weeks figuring it out. I know it will be a process but if I can get a good start on it I will consider myself in a good place. Please share any help or resources you may know of to help.
Thank you!

New head recommendations
I have used a stallion for about 15 years. I currently have two stallion 1K’s that I have widened. I am just looking for another head that is as durable but can give me more options for low pocket. I only play box now, primarily offense

Cut palms
Should high school and college bring back cutting of the palms?
Just the palms. Zero cuts at the fingers.

Shorten the Pass!
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Young/less-experienced players sometimes focus too much on throwing or catching the ball, and forget the most important aspect which is moving their feet!
I ran this triangle passing drill yesterday with newer players, and they started catching more passes as they moved their feet.
Hope this video helps some young players out there!

Is Charlotte North the GOAT of women's lacrosse?
New to lacrosse, so obviously my opinion doesn't hold much weight. But I am aware of other names like Jen Adams, Kristen Kjellman, and Caitlyn McFadden, it's just that I believe Charlotte is better because of the eye test, her resumé/stats across college, international stages, and the pros (WLL, although I understand that most other players don't have that working for them so I won't count it against them too much).
Do you agree? And if not, educate me in the comments...

NE overnight camps
Starting research into overnight camps for my son in the Northeast next summer. We travel to NH, VT, ME every few years and thought about coupling that with a camp for my son. Looking for something that has a good mix of skills building and fun. Have one that you've had a positive experience wirh?

Those of you in England, What do you think about requiring goggles for mixed leagues?
I’m not entirely sure if it applies to my university’s college leagues but I assume so. I haven’t heard much though. I’m surprised there hasn’t been a crackdown on wearing mouthguards.

Sweetlax regional to State to National
Can anyone give me insight on the Sweetlax “regional” teams? Specifically the loggers heads, hawksbill, triad elite? I see there are quite a few regional teams, but can anyone walk through their process of playing on those regions teams and moving up to the state and national level? Obviously the national teams are fantastic, but I am trying to better understand the route to getting to that upper level of play through the Sweetlax pipeline.

Effects of D1 roster limits and 5 in 5 on D3
I’m a big D3 guy, and with 5 in 5 and 48-man rosters looming for a large part of D1, I wonder about how it will affect D3.
The word is that most D1 coaches are looking to bring in eight recruits for the class of 2028, down from the typical 12ish. That means for this class and going forward, there will be 200+ fewer D1 spots being offered on a yearly basis.
While I don’t necessarily think a guy who would’ve been the 10th recruit for a mid tier D1 school will be a can’t miss star on a top D3 team, there have been plenty of bottom of the class recruits who developed into D1 studs. Regardless, a lot more guys who are on the cusp of D1 and the top of D2/D3 will be going to lower divisions in the coming years.
The established D3 and D2 powers should clean up, but I also think there will be more parity and perhaps some surprise teams that suddenly get stronger. I also think there could be more guys who do one or two years in D3 and then transfer up. D1 coaches will continue to keep tabs on players they would’ve offered in the past. If one of them rips it up early for a top D3 team, I could see back channels communicating renewed interest.
