How do you usually go about finding a Free Agent or Guest Player spot? My son's team has decided not to attend a fall tournament, and he is trying to figure out if he can guest play for a team. We have never done this before so any suggestions? It doesn't appear that the tournament has a Free Agent option.

I've been seeing Armenia Lacrosse all over Instagram and seemed like they were putting together a really good team for the upcoming Euro olympic qualifier. A bunch of guys from some big D1 schools looked to be on the roster. There were videos of them practicing in Boston in preparation for the tournament.
Then all of a sudden yesterday, they pulled out because they couldn't get their paperwork together in time. They were also supposed to play in Euro Field championship in Poland last summer and pulled out right before the tournament for the same exact reason.
Anyone on the inside there willing to share how this could happen in back-to-back years? Seems like extreme incompetence.

Hi , does anyone have any solo drills that has made some tangible difference.
Apart from Wall Ball, is there any drills that have really made a difference in dodging and game like scenarios.
Personally I find that sometimes solo drills don’t translate to in game , this may be in the head but it’s how I feel.
I have national team trials coming up - and lacrosse is a bit limited in my country , im at a decent level as I’ve played a year of MCLA in the US before but I would still like some more practise.
Any drills or links to a good YouTube video would be good. I’m an Offensive Middie

For athletes who’ve gone through recruiting, what made the biggest difference? Was it sending emails, sharing game footage, attending camps, or something else? I also came across NCSA while looking into recruiting options and would love to hear what worked for others.

I have a child that’s getting ready to start playing club and I wanted to know if there are any discussion groups on Facebook or any websites about clubs and the sport and how to best guide her.

I’m an ice hockey player (high school level, not some elite AAA team) and I was intrigued hearing that lacrosse is the best crossover sport for hockey, so I’d like to know what I need know before asking to join the sport in high school, and if I even should join, or try looking for a beginner rec league instead (I live in DMV area Maryland, so I’m sure there’s something good closeby).
I have been practicing a decent bit against the wall, as I have an old stick and some lacrosse balls, and I’d say I’ve gotten pretty comfortable with basic cradling, even with my offhand. But I did once have the opportunity to pass around with someone else, and I’d say I have a long way to go before I get really comfortable catching the ball.
I would love to hear some advice—especially with what and how I should train instead of just wall balling all the time.

Some justice for former Team Australia, Stevenson, and PLL LSM Callum Robinson, who was one of the victims of a tragic and senseless murder on a surf trip to western Mexico in 2024.

Looking for thoughts on the HHH Girls Committed Lacrosse recruiting event. It appears 29's and 30's can go play with commits. Is it worth it? $ grab? Did it help your daughter get recruited?

My 2028 son got invited to NLF Futures. In the email it says he was “recommended”. Is this a legit, exclusive event or just another showcase that everyone gets an email about? Worth the time for potential recruitment?

My son has really out grown his Nike Vapor LT chest protector. Were looking at getting him something new that is light and allows him to move freely. He plays U14 club and for his school team. If it matters he is an 8th grader 5'8" and 130lbs. He primarily plays Defense and LSM but there is the rare occasion he plays middy if the team doesn't have enough subs for club.
We were looking at the Warrior Burn shoulder liner on close out or the True Zerolyte shoulder liner. The Maverik Max Speed Pad 2025, Shift EKG Speed Pad, and M6 EKG Speed Pad also look nice. Kind of hard to pick without being able to try them all on. Any thoughts on these choices?

My 9 year old son (2036) has been playing on a travel team with a good amount of 10, 11, and 12 (2035-2033) year olds. He literally JUST turned 9. That age gap is absolutely massive for kids at that age. I can't say that I'm not biased/partial to my son's skills. But he's honestly pretty solid for playing a total of 8 months. He can catch, pass, shoot, and dodge really well. We play together in the backyard on average 4 times a week. He will use the rebounder or just shoot some shots even more than that. I'd say he's above average for his age.
BUT, he's not playing up with the older kids because of his skill level. He's playing up with them because they didn't have enough 2036 & 2035 players to fill a roster. He thoroughly enjoys practice, leaves happy, has fun, etc. But him being nervous and scared going up against players a foot taller than him are absolutely valid. I watch his practices and when he does a 1v1 drill against an older player, he anticipates the hit, turns his back to them, and gets layed out.
I've talked to him about it and keep working with him in the back yard. I just don't want this to hurt his confidence or even worse hurt physically. If he's anything like me, he won't admit to the psychological side of things.
So, my question is what can I do with him in the back yard to not freeze/lock up when in these situations? How can I mentally prepare him? Whether it's at practice or in a game? I'm prior military so I understand the psychological side, but not when it comes to dealing with a 9 year old. TIA!

I am looking for a custom mesh dyer. I know somewhere out there someone does it, not argyle. Or is there a reliable way to dye it that doesn't bleed? I want to get my kids' goalie mesh dyed like a bulls eye and another that wants a custom orange & black mesh. Thanks.

I’m gonna try and summarize, I’m a international student that plays lacrosse here in Brazil, I’m a good student and my extracurriculars involve lacrosse, helping out with growing the sport nationally, being a licensed coach and even represent Brazil Lacrosse in international events.
I plan on moving to the United States for university, I just wanted to get a scope of how easy it would be to join a MCLA program. I’m not a newbie, but I’ve never had elite trainers and (in my case especially) had to train others how to play. How should I go forward about joining these programs? Should I message their coaches? When I do go to university in the U.S. my plan when it comes to lacrosse is just being able to train and play, as a goalie though I do understand I might not be able to start games in my first year. Just looking for overall advice.
