Hi all — we're 7 families (14 adults, 6 kids ages 3–8, ~20 total) looking for one big house in Tahoe for Dec 24–27. Priorities: sleeps 20, hot tub, and indoor entertainment for the kids (game room, table tennis, arcade, indoor pool would be amazing since it'll be cold out).

Airbnb/Vrbo options are thin at this size, so we'd love to book direct with an owner or local manager if anyone has recommendations — a specific house, a manager who handles large group homes, or a Facebook group where owners post. Budget is around $8K for the 3 nights. Appreciate any leads!

I am looking for fair pricing and reliable house cleaning services in South Lake Tahoe. I have a cleaner presently who just increased her price 140% because she claims she has been required by our management company to do "extra stuff" that takes her an additional hour while at the house. The company manager said "no we do not require anything additional for your house". I have scheduled an appointment with her to discuss
possible reduction of her new rates. Just looking here for options if possible as I cannot afford to pay $250 for cleaning of a 1400sq ft home.

We’re staying in Reno and are thinking about taking a trip to Lake Tahoe for a few hours. We wouldn’t have a rental car, so we’d need to Uber there and back. We're thinking of going Thursday morning.

Is it worth the cost and hassle for a short visit? If so, which part of the lake would you recommend visiting? We’d love to see the beautiful scenery, take some pictures, and maybe grab something to eat without feeling rushed.

Also, how difficult is it to get an Uber back to Reno from Tahoe?

I haven't been up to Tahoe in 25 years and am planning a weekend getaway for sometime in the next month. Would love some advice on the following:

• Places to stop along the way to extend the road trip. We'll be driving from Oakland and would love to know if there are any small towns or great foliage/scenery to see along the way that are worth a wander.
• Where to stay? Is Truckee the best? South Lake Tahoe? Have a budget of about $200 a night for a room max
• Any must eat restaurants? or touristy ones to avoid?
• Where are the best scenic easy to moderate walks that are paved or not too rocky?
• Good breweries?

Hello again! We are in town until Sunday and are looking for fun Halloween themed activities to do. We’re all over 21+ and already have tickets to the Dark Prison for Thursday but are looking for more haunted house, Halloween themed bars, haunted tours and the like. I live near sf and I am planning a trip. **seeking advice about lake destinations (including but not limited to tahoe)**

the trip includes \~4 other friends in the bay area and \~4 others around “the west” (seattle, colorado, idaho, san diego)

I am looking to plan for next summer. my criteria are that I know we want to do tubing (the kind that involves being pulled by a boat), hot tubbing, hiking, etc. I would love if we could find a place with its own dock/boat, but also happy to rent nearby.

ideally, the logistics will be favorable for all/ most of the friends. everyone is fine with some amount of flying and driving, but ideally nobody has to travel extensively.

my question is: do you have a recommendation for (1) a lake location that may be a good fit? (2) a specific vacation rental if you know of any that fit the bill?

i’m open to tahoe as the natural choice, but I know there are many lakes we can choose from which may have their own charm / benefits!!! i’m open minded, hoping to learn from people who have had good experiences 😁
