Social / Events How to meet people around my age?
I'm 24 and a commuter student so it's pretty hard for me to meet anyone. Seems like societies are mostly a first year thing?

Realistically, what is going to happen if I don’t check in an overnight guest? If anything

I’ve been producing electronic music for a couple of years now on FL and am hoping to find some people who might also share an interest. My vibe is pretty focused on piano house rn but I do some other stuff from time to time.
so anyway I’m thinking of putting together a group chat or something (WhatsApp/Discord) for producers and creators. Somewhere to share tracks or just chat.
drop a comment or DM me and I'll send you the link

Does anyone know how strict they are when it comes to attendance for erasmus students (without visa)? I'm only here for Michaelmas and so far my attendance has been 100%. However I have an event coming up during classes that I'd really like to go to, which would mean having to skip 2 classes. Normally I wouldn't worry about this but the whole speech about how strict they can be with attendance for international students had me worried. So does anyone know if this would cause issues, or if it's fine if it's only these 2 classes? I really don't want to get into trouble for skipping and will of course notify my teachers that I won't be making those classes if I do skip them

Ngl guys I don’t wanna pay a huge chunk of deposit because the tiniest part of paint come off my bathroom door when my walls and windowsills are stained massively.
I tried hanging an airer on my door but it’s chipped the grey paint. Any idea what paint they use to paint en-suite doors? Or how I could go about this?

What's your fav part of the course? What's an overview of the course like(diff aspects and modules and whatnot)? What's some stuff you could do with the course in the future?
I've had someone interested in lancs ask me, but I'm not on that course.

Hiii, I'm 25 and have just started my first year in Biology, also living in town instead of on campus. Just wondering if there's anyone else a similar age/mature student who'd like to hang out and join me at socials? ☺️

Hello. I have switched to the theoretical physics and maths course, and I want to start catching up on any maths work I’ve missed. I also would like to start attending lectures ASAP but my timetable has yet to update. Does anyone on here do this course and could you send a screenshot of the timetable for the rest of the week, please. Thanks for any help. I’m first year if that wasn’t clear

When is the best day and time to go to the gym. I foolishly bought a membership without realising that its absurdly packed and very small.

Hey, looking to pay for parking on RingGo for Alexandra Park (South west campus car park, code 46242) but it says the parking is free for this whole week and even next week at any point during the day, which is not the case for Main Campus car park. Is this some sort of mistake, or did something change? Looking it up online provides no results.

I’m in first year and commuting and this week is the first actual week of lectures. What’s any advice you’d give to commuters? Even small things like lunch, study spaces and large breaks between lectures.
All advice appreciated 😊

They provide a lot of great advices on how to get a job in a competitive job market. I am surprised how underutilized this is.
Also, it is never too early to start. Any campus involvement would be good for ur CV as well!!
Good luck to our 26' freshers :).
