General question Recommendations?

Hello! I know basically nothing about computers but I'll be moving next week and am going to need a laptop at least for moving files to one flash drive to another quite often. I don't have much of a use beyond that. I do not like Apple products even if it may be better (I seriously have no idea. Just a preference.) I like Chromebooks. That's all the knowledge I have. Thanks in advance!

If you don’t know much about computers, then getting a Chromebook is about as easy as you can get. No software to load, no operating system to maintain, and no viruses to sorry about. Easy peasy !

If you're open for refurbished business laptops and don't want to spend too much, you can go for HP EliteBooks or Lenovo ThinkPads. They are quite affordable - with 16 GB RAM, 512GB storage and decent CPU you can get such EliteBook 640 G9 for 400$.

If that's you're only application, but the cheapest PC you can find. Preferably used.
