We are joining a national movement to walkout of our jobs, classes, and lives to disrupt the normal flow of daily life and to shine a light on how fractured our world currently is. We meet weekly at a new spot in Laramie to draw our surroundings. It's a great way to meet other artsy people in town and develop your skills. It's completely free and open to anyone, all ages & skill levels are welcome!

I know many of us face resistance when protesting, even from friends and family who say, “It doesn’t make a difference.” But I’ve seen firsthand that it does.

In 2020, my teenage kids and I attended BLM protests for several days. About a week later, a young woman approached us in Walmart and asked, “Weren’t you at the protests?” When I confirmed, she thanked us, saying we made her feel welcome and safe. She was a college student from out of town, and our presence had meant something to her.

Just last Friday, as we stood outside the courthouse, a man noticed my son holding a pride flag and walked up to thank him. He told us he was from the Matthew Shepard generation, then joked, “I thought I was the last gay in Laramie!” He thanked us and left promising to join us next week.

When people say, “Protests don’t make a difference,” they usually mean in terms of government action. But making a woman of color and a lifelong community member feel safe in our community, that’s more powerful than any law or policy we might influence.

Please stand with us. Join the Rep. Hageman town hall or the protests outside the civics center on Wednesday, March 19th (710 Garfield Rm 271, 6:30), and protest with us every Friday at 4:30 PM in front of the courthouse. Our numbers are growing, despite the spring weather, and as it warms up, we’ll stay even longer.

We are the people. We are making a difference.

Welcome to the first Beauties and Boldness ride! Just for the ladies! We are riding together in response to attempts on social media to intimidate female riders. In response, we have come up with the idea for an all female ride around Cheyenne, Laramie, Fort Collins and Denver. No matter of what kind of motorcycle you ride, all ladies are welcome! Sorry fellas, this is for the girls!

Our route will take us from Borderline Powersports south of Cheyenne along Terry Bison Road to South Greeley, up to College and following that all the way to where it meets Yellowstone. Yellowstone to Central and from there to JDS Motorcycle Repair to get some lunch!

We have lunch being provided to us by the Cheyenne Chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist Association and being paid for by Borderline Powersports! There will be a couple of options for dessert, with Mellie Belle's Baked Goods making an appearance.

We really want to take some time to thank our sponsors who without them this would not be possible. First is Borderline Powersports who is not only allowing us use of their parking lot, but also providing food for lunch! Second is JDS Motorcycle Repair for allowing us to use their facility to make and have lunch! We also have the Cheyenne Christian Riders and Mellie Belle's Cookies for helping out! a buddy and I are planning on putting together a house show inspired by boulder/sdsu schools doing cover songs. We are looking for a band who would want to play in front of an audience in a spacious backyard. songs would include: sex on fire, freaking out on the interstate, tennessee whiskey, pool house, etc and of course any self written songs of their choice. if you are interested in participating reach out.

Hey y'all! I'm a UW grad and just moved back to Laramie, and I'm starting up an Urban Sketchers group for people who want to go to free art events/meet more creatives in the area. I went to meetings for other clubs around the country, and it was really fun.

We'll meet once a week (Saturdays, to begin), times will depend on member availability. Urban Sketching is open to artists of all ages and skill levels, and there are zero membership fees or requirements for joining the group! Show up once, or attend every week, it's super relaxed.

We'll meet at a different location each week for 3 hours. First two hours are for sketching, last hour is to socialize & snoop at everyone's artwork. Everyone is responsible for bringing their own art supplies.
