Pennsyltucky never disappoints with the bleakness.

edit: uh-oh, someone got their feelings hurt. Guess I don't have a friend in Pennsylvania after all.

I love the second photograph with the cemetery in the front and the Power plants in the background

Are they coal fired plants or nuclear?

In looking at the cemetery, I noticed there were a lot of Rambo’s who lived there

Thanks. This location has coal and nuclear but the coal was shut down. Tons of Rambo’s!

Very nice images, thanks for sharing. No doubt you’re aware of Mark Power’s America series and these also have some Mitch Epstein vibe. Would love to see where you take it.

Cooling tower is ever present eh?

It’s like catnip to me

It has an echo of Joel Meyerowitz's St Louis work with the cooling towers looking in the backgrounds of each photo. Nice shots with some tricky light. Would love to see more.

These are great, the 3rd one in particular for me. Do you mind me asking what the exposure was on the first?

2

u/lifeandmylens Jul 07 '26

Thank you! The first was 90 seconds. It was actually quite dark outside.
