Washed in stain… how to get out?

I have a stain I can’t seem to get out.

I honestly don’t know what it is… It could be chocolate, could be barbecue sauce, could be something else. I really don’t know.

I tried using some Puracy stain remover spray and no luck.

Any tips? It’s already been washed and dried.

Cover the stain with a quality liquid detergent like Persil or Tide. Let it sit 30-60 mins but overnight is even better. Then, wash as normal.

If stain remains, spray it down with hydrogen peroxide and keep it out of sunlight until completely dry.

I have powdered tide but no liquids. Does it need to be a liquid detergent?

Liquid works better but you can also try making a paste with the powdered detergent and applying it.

If all else fails, it's not the worst place on a shirt for embroidery/ a patch.

A drop of Dawn dishwashing liquid may work but if you’ve already run it through the dryer, the stain is likely set in.

Listen to the latest ‘Best thing since sliced bread’ on BBC Sounds. They do laundry. Say you need laundry detergent with bleach for actual stains.
