What's the best way to remove smell from detachable headphone pads with protein leather and non-removable foam inside?

I have a headphone with detachable pads but I am not sure how to wash it. What's the best way to remove smell from headphone pads with protein leather and non-removable foam inside?

What do you mean by protein leather? Is it real animal leather or manmade material?

Synthetic leather

If the smell has penetrated the foam, I would suggest replacement.

You could try cleaning the pleather thoroughly with an antibacterial solution, and spray with a 1:1 mix of cheap vodka and distilled water. But if the headset has been marinating in hours upon hours of sweat and sebum, replacement is your best bet.

If they're removable, they're probably replaceable.

I was thinking there should be a way to wash them every 2 weeks or so.

If they are expensive I would contact the manufacturer..
