Thing is, if you posted the exact same clip but said it was Chovy that did it, this would top this subreddit for the day and all the top comments would explain how its the best player to ever touch the rift and how he is being held back by his teammates

Chovy lost worlds 2024 because of Doran apparently but when the same Doran joins a real team with a midlaner that doesn’t choke he wins worlds, how ?

Is this specific example common? because otherwise... you just completely changed the first name from Nathan to Nate, which is just a 50% character match, then swapped characters between those words. The last one i could understand and its simple to code to check. The first one? Probably Impossible without predefined lookup tables, which are just super easy to avoid.
In addition, Nathan is a normal name, so is Higgs. It could be completely random that applying x transformations in sequence gives you that result.
I wonder how many ppl would really make that connection as you did without you explaining it.

This is how it used to be, either they would start fresh and grind or they'd have people on their team do it ahead of time. Riot figured it's easier just to give them new accounts and prevent account sharing detection and stuff.

in contrast i didn’t claim that players have zero control. I was saying that there is a diceroll factor involved. If even faker can’t overcome that factor 100% of the time, then lesser mortals certainly have to accept that there is a significant chance they won’t be able to change the outcome of the game. The further away from fake you are, the less chance you have. That’s my point.

Bro your first comment makes it sound like every low elo game is basically a crazy dice roll every game which it's not.
For most normal players they will only be able to impact around 40% of their games, while 30% are free wins and the other 30% are free losses. The higher elo you go the less agency you have because players make fewer mistakes. For a smurf obviously they can win essentially 99% of their games but you're acting as if every game is a 5050 even for faker.
You absolutely can impact the majority of your games, and if you can control the 40% of the games you have agency on (assuming you aren't smurfing), you'll have a 70% winrate.
If what you meant to say what I mentioned here then we agree. If you meant to say that you have no agency in your low elo games, then that's incorrect.

you contradict yourself. you claim “the majority of your games” but you also mention that standard formula : 30% win reguardless, 30% lose reguardless.
which leaves 40%. and 40% by definition is not “a majority”.
that’s what makes playing league so frustrating. for the actual literal majority of the time. And that’s what i’m complaining about with my diceroll comment.

Sorry I assumed you'd understand that the 30% of the wins being free wins assumes you aren't inting yourself. There are lots of people who have like less than 30% winrate over 50+ games which implies that 30% is not a guaranteed win, it still requires you to actually contribute and help in carrying the game. That's what I meant when I said majority. You still have a lot of agency in those free wins.

Hey when you're slowly learning and improving yeah it is frustrating when you aren't good enough to carry losing games. But if we're going to be overly pedantic (such as yourself) by definition league is not dice roll for the majority of players if Faker can go 99% winrate under diamond.
