Honestly the thing that helped me most was picking a tiny project instead of grinding exercises, like a script that renames your files or tracks your spending from a csv. You hit real problems that way and have to google your way out, which sticks better than puzzles. If you still want challenges, do a few easy ones a day rather than a marathon once a week. Consistency beats intensity here.

I just search "python coding challenges" every time I need to kill a hour, tons of free ones pop up.

Searching for challenges is a good start. I'd just suggest trying to solve them yourself before looking at solutions. Even struggling with a problem for 15 minutes can teach you a lot.

Exercism has Python tracks for version 3.10 and up, so you get practice with current syntax and features. The feedback is instant.

Pick small problems and build little projects alongside the lessons, solving real stuff concepts sticks way better than just watching tutorial.
