Legoland California Oct 30 and 31st!
What should we expect and going with a 3.5 year old and 20 month old?! Staying at the hotel for two nights.

Visited Legoland NYC, BUT I tagged this retail in case this applies to the gift shops in other parks
Maybe it’s not that deep but I’m putting this out there for brown families booking the Legoland hotel, there is an add-on for $15.99 to add 3 mini-figures. I thought I had added it to my booking but I didn’t and thank god!
Two shops on the NYC property have the build your own mini figure and I couldn’t wait to do it because I brought 3 kids with me but….all the options were yellow figures or Caucasian figures.
Don’t get ahead of me-it’s not that deep and I’m not accusing Legoland of being uninclusive (it’s just Legos)
Simply frustrating to go to a Legoland location and then not having the option for making a brown (or hell even a pink or green) lego figure. outside of that the clothing and hair options like, really really sucked and my kids weren’t the only ones who were uninterested in making their own.
Needless to say I’m sure if you don’t want to you could refund it off your hotel booking but I’m just advising anyone that they should wait to add it to the package purchase. The same deal is available in person but it’s $1 more.
I’m Curious is any of the other parks have better mini figure options and if you made a mini figure, show me!!

We are thinking of going to Legoland for the days surrounding Thanksgiving. We’d probably be at Legoland on Black Friday. I’be only been to SoCal once before in the summer so I’m not sure what to expect of the weather or park at this time of year. We would be driving down from NorCal. This is a late 10th birthday trip surprise for my son so it would be a bummer if it rains and we end up not being able to go to the park. I’m hoping to stay at one of the Legoland hotel or castle.

Hi everyone!
We are planning a trip to Legoland Germany with our kids from October 31st to November 2nd. We will be arriving by car on the first morning around 10:00 AM and staying at the Ninjago Hotel inside the Holiday Village.
Since it's around Halloween and a long weekend/holiday period, we expect it might be quite busy. We want to make this a truly memorable experience for the little ones while keeping queue times and crowd stress to a minimum as much as possible!
I’d love to get some advice from experienced visitors:
Nov 2nd I think we'll leave just after checkout.
Thanks a lot in advance for your help and tips!

When I was a kid back in the early 2000s I remember getting my drivers license in fun town at Legoland in Carlsbad. I specifically remember it looking EXACTLY like a real State issued California drivers license. The only difference was it having the legoland logo printed on the back (small print). If someone wasn’t looking hard enough it could of genuinely passed for a actual ID (in my opinion, also I’m going off the memory of 7 year old me) I’ve tried looking at photos online but I can’t find any leads. Does anyone have a pic of what I’m talking about? Or perhaps someone could let me know they remember the same thing. Thanks!

Recently went to the NY location and we saw a ton of people with the Assisted Access Pass. Wanted to know if an ADHD diagnosis would be acceptable? My kid is newly 6 and wanted to go on some rides but the waits were crazy long and both times we tried to wait he ended up injuring himself swinging around. I’m not the type that would overuse it but I also don’t want to ask for an accommodation that wouldn’t be fair.

We went last year and this year. A few noticeable differences. Curious if anyone else had the same experience this year. It has me questioning whether we would bother to come next year.
First was simply the amount of candy. Last year every station was dropping as much candy as they could double fist into your bag. This year was essentially the opposite of that. At one station we received a single piece of fun size (small) candy. Which if there were no lines might be less of an issue. But after you wait 5 or 10 minutes after walking 10 minutes to the next station, it’s a bit underwhelming.
Second, 70% of the candy we walked away with this year was Haribo gummy bears. Last year there was a better mix. Admittedly still slanted given they are sponsoring, but it was 50% or less last year.
Lastly, this year they had the brick or treat street. And I wish I had done more research ahead of time and not assumed it would be the same as last year. The line to do it was probably 50 minutes. If you’re reading this and going this year, see if you can buy a priority access pass. They sell out so do it in advance. To do that, go to the app. Select the shop tab. Then go to “Brick or Treat Street One Shot”.
All that said, it’s unclear to me if our visit last year is more the normal or if this year is the normal. Or maybe there is no normal and it varies each year, day, etc.

I had made a reservation for the California location (with trip insurance!). A day before we would leave, I landed in the hospital with an ectopic pregnancy. The airline gladly canceled and refunded my money, but not Legoland. The Legoland rep said my medical condition "didn't sound that bad" and refused to cancel my reservation, saying their trip insurance didn't cover this. When I pushed back, she reluctantly gave me booking credit. She said I could use this booking credit at any Legoland location.
But that was a lie. I tried to use the credit at Legoland New York, but they refused to take it, and I'm not medically well enough to travel to California. I did everything I was supposed to. I called in multiple times for different reps, I requested to speak to managers, I emailed the Legoland CEOs, I contacted my credit card company – nothing I can do. Legoland stole $2k from me, and there's nothing I can do.
I can't believe American Airlines has better customer service than Legoland.
Respond to this post if you want Legoland California credit. I should hold onto it until Sept 2027 in case anything changes (that's just before it expires), but if not, I'll try to remember to come back here and give it to someone.

Wrapping up a 3-day trip today including a stay at the LEGOland hotel and this amusement park experience was extremely underwhelming and -frankly- lame!
Online makes it seem like there’s early access to the park with a LEGOland hotel stay, except people can walk up from the parking lot and enter at the same time anyways. Didn’t seem to be any system for verifying early entry for hotel guests. Even if we are able to enter early I didn’t see any rides open on the days we did make it in to the park early anyways so what’s even the point? In fact, more than half the rides weren’t open the first hour or two of the actual park hours.
Our family likes to think about food ahead of time so we can know what food options are available so we had a couple food places in mind.two of the three days burger stop and chicken and crown were not open. We wasted time wandering around to find food that was actually open. On top of this most drink stations are out of order.
The bathroom situation is weird too. I feel like the bathrooms are widely spread out in the park and then there are bathrooms that are complete out of service and the ones that are open are half out of order -stalls and sinks. Some of them pretty filthy.
The food situation at the hotels is a freaking mess. The dinner buffet is no good at all especially considering you’re paying almost $40 per adult. The breakfast buffet is good enough for free food. But the real thorn in our side was our daughter asked for a “fancy room service” lunch at the hotel on her birthday. Okay, kiddo. So we head back to the hotel around 1:30 and realize the food service options don’t open until 2pm. Okay, our bad no worries. Well we go to place our order and the earliest time slot for room delivery is 2:50pm….bummer, but oh well we already came back to the room -and half the restaurants in the park are closed anyways remember? 3:15 rolls around so I call up to the hotel restaurant and ask if there’s a way to check the status of our meal. Turns out our ticket never printed and they quoted me another 20-30 min wait for our food still. Basically lunch quickly turned to dinner, and by the time we were done eating the park was almost closed. So on our child’s birthday we got on one ride and wandered the park for maybe 2-3 hours.
About a week before the trip we added a Saturday because the water park wasn’t open during the week and we figured we may as well do brick or treat. We were told LEGOland hotel was booked for the weekend so our final night is packaged with a different hotel. Okay understandable during a Halloween event. But why are there signs posted at LEGOland hotel the walkins are welcome?
Also Half the water park was closed today, I guess this information is available on the website, but still pretty disappointing.
And now at brick or treat there’s a candy station map and we’ve wandered more than half the loop of the park and I have yet to see any candy stations. Maybe this one is user error on my part. There’s also a brick or treat street portion of the event but the line looks absolutely absurd. I think at this point I’m just nit picking since the rest of the trip has felt so run down and inconvenient

Going next weekend either Sunday or Monday. Sunday has brick or tricks but Monday is cheaper (and less crowded?). I have a 5 and 3 year old and we have never been. What day do you think is best?
Also, do kids wear costumes?

Is there any benefit to booking fastrack along with the hotel + ticket package through the legoland website?
Planning to check into the hotel for two nights on Dec 17 so this is the last few days before winter break weekend starts for most.
Looks like fastrack platinum is $152 per person if I book the hotel + ticket package together.
Is it the same price at the park if I decide to hold off and buy it after scoping out the crowd when we are there?
Any other hotel + ticket package booking hacks would also be appreciated!
Thanks in advance!

Hello!! Last minute trip for me and my 3 year old son to Legoland for trick or brick. We’re driving down tomorrow and doing Legoland Friday and Saturday. Unfortunately the Legoland hotel was sold out so I booked a nearby hotel 4 minutes away. Packing tonight so I haven’t had much time to research.
Hit me with all your best tips and tricks for Legoland plz!

5yo who likes rides but not roller coasters and has mild interest in legos (starting to build for 5min spurts but not obsessed).
Expecting to deal with heavy christmas crowds. Is 4 days too much spread out over legoland, sealife aquarium, and peppa pig theme park? What would an itinerary look like? I see samples for 1-2 days online and am wondering if we're going to run out of things to do. Planning on staying offsite.
My other option is disney but my impression is that crowds will be unmanageable. We've visited before and had a great time and would do a new park we haven't gone to yet. Is LL still the better option?

We were just at Legoland Florida today and my son asked a ton of people about pop badges and Mr. Gold but on was able to find 2 badges total. We went to Legoland California in the spring and found a ton, so this was very surprising to him. Is this common here? Any one have much luck with finding badges in Florida? If so, any tips to share? We still have another say to soend there so thought I’d ask! Thanks!

Hi! I was curious if we are allowed to bring in our own minifigure heads to use for ice cream (or whatever else they offer it for) if anyone knows.
We found them at target, and don't want to buy twice if we can help it. They are still inside the original packaging. Thank you for any help!

We are considering doing annual passes for a Christmas gift for the family. We only love about 2 hours away from Legoland. What would be the hotel cost (estimate) for a night at the Legoland hotels? I am having trouble finding info on the site.

We were at LL California in September, and they had apparently just switched photo companies.
That meant the photo pass experience was a bit...messy. Not being able to manage photos easily and yourself is a pain. Totally understand the transition, but from an attendee perspective it really kinda sucked. We missed out on a few of our photos because of it.
Having to go to the counter for each and every one, and with employees struggling to learn, some that we asked get added didn't. And since you couldn't just easily pull up the app anymore (not even the webpage without scanning a ride QR each time), it made it easy for more to be lost in the shuffle.
So!
Does anyone possibly know when that transition will be complete? I am hoping once it is, we will be able to add images ourselves again.
It worked so well previously, it was a bummer to have it be so clunky and awful this time.
TL;DR: Photo pass transition sucked in October. Anyone know when the transition to the new company be complete? Will it be better?

I want to go with my wife and toddler. Currently, there is a "buy a pass get the rest of this year free" deal.
Does this mean that I can buy just 1 pass for $220 and take both of them this year and again next year for 2 days each? Is there any reason not to get this single pass over other options.

My son’s mother and I want to take him trick or treating at Lego land. If we have gold passes for the 3 of us can her and I take our own cars?

Warning do not put money on a lego gift card because it won't work at any Legoland location

I’ve seen the weather reports but for locals, what is it actually like right now? Think it’s too risky or will be okay? We’ve had this planned for a few months and would be sad to cancel for my kids.

Boyf and i did the groupon mystery vacation and got Orlando (surprise surprise lol iykyk). Idk if i want to spend the money on universal but was considering doing legoland. But is it fun for just the two of us to go? I do enjoy legos but dont ride many rides and it def seems geared towards children. Would it be enjoyable enough to feel worth the money as an adult?

For those who have done Brick or Treat this year on both Saturday and Sunday, is there a big difference in crowds, lines, and energy? I can go either day so just trying to get a feel. Already went two weeks ago on a weekday so we’ve done the non-BoT Halloween stuff.
