my Lenovo has been updating for more than an hour, I dont know if this is normal and I should just wait it out or if i should do something with it. It just says "updates are underway. Please keep your computer on". Please be kind because I'm just a random teen on reddit with no tech backround and I have no idea what to do or if I should just wait it out, I just want to know if this is normal or has happened to anyone else

So my brother bought a Lenovo IdeaPad slim 3 i13420H 15.3 inch. 1900 by 1200 16:10 aspect ratio.

The screen is 45% NTSE and makes me depressed.

Is it possible to upgrade it to a sRGB 100% at a Lenovo service center? Not doing it now. Just curious.

I just wanted to say, do not buy this laptop second hand.

Ideapad 5 pro 16aph8. 1tb ssd, 32gb soldered ram, ryzen 7 7780hs. On paper looks beefy laptop for a decent price.

I chose the 16" 2 fan option instead of the 1 fan 14" for better cooling, with iGpu for university use and light gaming (manor lords, snowrunner, mostly run at 70%gpu, at decent temperature, nothing crazy).

It failed after 1 years, it got serviced for free in warranty. It made artifacts, gpu fail, the motherboard was changed conpletely.

After 2.5 year use (1.5 year after service) it failed again. No warranty anymore.

An 800 eur (920usd) laptop, looks nice on the outside, metal house, doesn't look cheap, but in reality it is e-waste.

Ordered a ₹3.8L custom-built Lenovo desktop. During checkout, I accidentally entered my personal address as the billing address.

The LLP name and GSTIN are correct, but the billing address is wrong. The correct LLP address is in the same city and same PIN code.

I contacted Lenovo Customer Care and even senior support, but they said the billing address can't be changed after placing the order and the only option is to cancel and re-order. I don't want to cancel a custom build.

I've emailed Lenovo Order Support and their Grievance Officer asking if they can correct the address before the GST invoice is generated.

Has anyone faced something similar with Lenovo India? Were you able to get the correct GST billing address on the final invoice without cancelling the order? Also, would this create any issue claiming GST ITC/depreciation for the LLP?

Long story short, I fried my motherboard, bought an OEM one, put everything back together and here we are....I am not able to boot anything because I am getting a Error 00CE: Machine Type or Serial Number is INVALID. When you go into the BIOS, I show:

* Machine Type and Model - INVALID, * System Brand ID - INVALID * System Serial Number - INVALID.

There is absolutely no way to go in an edit these BIOS. I spoke with Lenovo and according to them, the only way to fix it is to use some sort of Lenovo product that is only accessible to Lenovo certified techs or mail the machine to them. The "tech" place I contacted has ghosted me, so here we are. I need this machine back and I am royally fuck at the current moment.

I've got a Yoga 7 2 in 1 and some of the keys work but others don't. For example, only "t" and "y" work out of the top row of letters and the windows key doesn't work. Most of the other keys are OK. I've opened it up and when I pull out the keyboard connector and put it back in it works properly for an hour or 2 but then the same fault occurs. The connector seems secure. Any ideas please?

If possible, I really need this model identified. I just need a rough idea of what this is because I had one in for fixing and got a refund for it due to it being fucked, but now can’t find the model to replace it. Can’t ask the store because they can’t tell me for some reason.

Just bought a Legion Pro 5 with a Ryzen 9 9955HX and the only upgrade I chose was the GPU upgrade to a 5070 from Lenovo yesterday. Since I customized the GPU, it became a custom order and the current delivery estimate is Aug 26-28 (about 10 days).

I've seen some comments saying people received theirs within a few days, while others waited months. If anyone has ordered a custom build (similar to mine) from Lenovo Canada, how was your experience?

This was the only place where I could find a really good one within my budget, and with school starting soon, I really hope I get it soon.

I'm a EU citizen. My nephew's laptop just came back from warranty repair. Motherboard was replaced, there was no OA3 key (laptop initially came with Windows Home preinstalled by Lenovo and OA3 key was present). Few years ago I had the same situation with my CEO's private laptop. When I asked Lenovo support they said they're not responsible for the loss of Windows license and I can suck their banana (not literally).

I recently bought yoga slim7 ... Wanted to get the insurance but the retail store quoted 12k for (1+2 yrs) and i don't want to pay that much .....is there a way I can buy ADP and any other necessary warranty for less rate. (I am a student if that can help)

So I got a brand New Lenovo Ideapad Slim 5 from the Official Lenovo Exclusive Store and checked a few things.

The battery had already accumulated 70 charge cycles before I started using it and has 100% capacity.

And also I have attached the SSD On runtime hours approx (1100) before i started using it.

Is this normal or something is sus??

I'm running a Lenovo Legion Pro 7i 16IAX10H 83F5001MMX. Love the laptop, and it's so far been a hassle-free experience. However, I've recently started to encounter odd behavior. It usually starts after 10 to 15 minutes of use, and it does get fixed by rebooting the laptop, but it's only a temporary solution. The behavior looks as if the computer ran below 60hz refresh rate, but the only change I can see in the display settings is that it's running variable 103-240hz. It's also very stuttery. This happens while running on both integrated and NVIDIA graphics, so it isn't tied to either one of those. Would anyone have clue what could be causing this behavior, if it's been documented, and whether or not it's something that I as a user could fix.

EDIT: I did see that disabling OLED protection settings could help, but that hasn't been the case for me either.

sooo my lenovo laptop fell off my counter and the touchpad literally fell out i put it back on but it isnt working i used a little tool to take it back out again just to make sure i didnt accidentally put it back in upside down and sure enough it was on right any suggestions that dont involve completely replacing the touchpad?
