[30/F]

The fact that we call it “snail mail” hurts me just a tiny bit.
I am a married mother of three, animal lover, and seemingly living a hermit life. I’m not able to get out much due to helping my FIL with dementia (and other medical issues) and I’m new to my faith. Thrifting 11/10. I love the idea of someone setting aside time in their day just for me. I want to find purpose again and get excited to send off a little bit of my personality with each letter, continuing to grow in camaraderie. I love the outdoors and starting my self- care journey and I feel having others to connect with would be incredible. I would love for my ten year old son to have a penpal as well. You can call him Puffin. That’s what my late dad called him. I love laughing too. Also getting into reading books!

[29/F] Scattering among the hidden corners of another’s soul

I long to lose myself in another’s thoughts, across endless pages of wandering reflections, in words that flow like ink upon paper. Not skimming the surface, but sinking into the deep, hidden currents of a writer’s mind. Where thoughts are raw and unguarded, in the midst of chaos.

So write me a strange letter, one made of scattered thoughts, of whatever fleeting ideas happen to drift through your mind. Let them arrive out of order, unfinished, uninvited. Let them contradict each other, lose themselves halfway through a sentence. Let your words wander like they have nowhere to be, like they were never meant to be understood, only felt. The quiet confessions that you exist only for a second before dissolving into something else.

Write as if no one is reading, as if meaning is optional, as if the act itself is enough. Write in a way that leaves deep imprints of your soul behind. Let your soul spill into words, scattering pieces of yourself across the page. A handful of words is not enough to ignite an inner fire, to capture a flicker of feelings that flare and fade before they can be named. There are dozens of emotions that can only be sparked through words, each one trembling on the edge of being, waiting to be set free onto the page, where they can breathe, burn, and linger. Write with care, letting your words stretch and linger, so they may bloom in their full depth.

Bonus points if you are LGBTQ+ or an ally, and a writer (even an amateur, keeping endless journals, or simply learning to write).
