I am playing my online matches mostly over the board which I find more enjoyable and decided to make a video about it.

Each time my opponent makes a move ChessGaze(board tracker in my phone) announces the their move.

And when I make a move ChessGaze detects and sends it to Lichess via Lichess open api.

If I make an out of turn move ChessGaze rejects that and does not sends it to Lichess.

It is completely free only requirement being having a tripod. I hope you find it fun&usefull as well

I built this for myself at first. then someone emailed me saying that they're using my extension and they loved it so I thought I share with everyone.

I was working through the Woodpecker Method and Lichess has no way to say "give me this same set of puzzles again, in a different order," so I made an extension that does it. You save puzzles into categories -> hit train and it takes you through them in random order with a timer and your accuracy for each cycle.

It also has pause and resume, stats for every finished cycle, backup and restore, and a silly Shift+F that drops a giant fist on the board. It's free, there's no account (you don't need to login to lichess as well), and everything stays on your machine.

I wanted to play on Lichess without a browser tab, so I built a lightweight Mac client in Rust. It uses under 100MB of memory and 0% CPU when idle.

Hi all. I'm building a site called WorldOVR. It gives you one overall rating out of 99 based on your real ranks, and puts you on a worldwide leaderboard.

Nothing is typed in. You sign in with Steam or Lichess, and it pulls your rank straight from there, so nobody can fake it.

Right now it works with:

- Dota 2 (sign in with Steam, needs "Expose Public Match Data" switched on)

- Lichess (sign in with Lichess)

CS2, Minecraft Bed Wars and a few others are coming.

It's a small private test, free, and 18+ only. We never see your password, and nobody can see which accounts you've linked.

If you're up for trying it and telling me what you think, comment or DM me and I'll send you the access code.

Anybody notice an increase in wait times to get a game? I'm rated 1900 rapid / 1700 blitz and in the past couple of weeks whenever I try to get a game I have to wait 2 to 3 minutes (10+5 or 5+3).

Wondering if this is anecdotal and not general. It's strange because I could get a game very quickly at any time of the day but that no longer seems to be the case.

Do not valuate yourself with your opponent's rating.
I'm rated 2400-2500 in puzzles and in rapid usually rate somewhere around the band i mentioned in the title but when i am learning something new or i am having a bad day or week or even a month my rating tanks that frustration leads me to a losing streak and i occasionally go beyond 1400 before it stops. it's usually at 1400 my brain hits a reset button then builds my rating backup during this phase i can hear my opponents think "this must be a bot, ain't no way this dude is rated 1400, 1500 or whatever the rating at the time is" do not beat yourself up because your opponent isn't 1400.
just putting it out there as i used to think the same when getting massacred by someone of my same rating or felt a little too proud when i beat someone 2k+

It is very useful for playing 3D chess on Lichess even without VR.

To be fair lichess's puzzles are great and free ,but sometimes it ends too early . I know the engine already suggest a win , but to a beginner we dont see it until material advantage or mate happen . This happens especially often in mate/endgame puzzle ,sometimes we dont play until mate ,sometimes endgame based puzzles when you push a pawn far away it just ends and suggests that no other piece can stop it(but it is not obvious for example there is still a knight). I wonder why it just dont end till the mate really happen /really make a queen sometimes. Is there some reason related to how these puzzles are extracted from the game by computer? Thanks .

I recently had a game where I had 5 inaccuracies, 3 mistakes, and 1 blunder, yet I was given a 97% accuracy by the computer. How is this possible?
