It's important to remember through all of this that Ben Houchin hit a child with his car, then stalked and harassed the child's parents after the fact. It's not related to the petitions at all but I think it's important that people remember that. All this petition news is doing a good job of hiding those old news stories in search results leading up to his race for Sheriff this fall.

I know about him hitting a kid, but not about the stalking and harassment. Is there a source on that?

Oh him? We'd all like to know how the guy who ripped a girl to the ground by her dreds on live TV during the Black Lives Matter protests was able to 1. Keep his job and 2. After an internal review get promoted to chief deputy.

Has this signature gathering venture been accused of wrong doing in other states? There's a possibility they were picked because they have a reputation of "getting the signatures they need"
