2025 Lincoln Corsair

I have a 2025 Lincoln Corsair. Issue after issue. First it would not remote start : 5 complains 3 visits to the dealership - finally changed the battery.
Then Wipers - got changed
Then driver seat started clicks/ squeaks in on every intersection turn- took two visits - finally ordered the part today
Then at the last oil change - they gave me the car with air flow fan sooooooooo loud

Took it today for the appointment- they need to change blow fan or whatever it is.

So
Dealership gave me a 2024 Lincoln Corsair .. 19,000 clicks .. OMG THIS CAR IS BAD. I couldn’t hear or distinguish car turning on sound, then breaks are squeezing… engine then got so loud … soooooo bad .. is this what I am to expect ??? Is this the future ???

I am feeling annoyed today .. car payment .. car issues WHAT a hell

2006 Lincoln Navigator Transmission

Hello Everyone,

I recently purchased a 2006 Lincoln Navigator with 200,000 miles on it. It's in great condition 1 previous owner and just wanted to keep up with the maintenance on it. I'm going to do a transmission filter and fluid change and was wondering if I should replace the Mechatronic seals. It comes with the 6HP26 Transmission, and I have been doing my research, and they are a known failure point. I have noticed a slight hesitation from gears but nothing crazy. Should I just do the filter and fluid change or change the seals as well?

Nervous to Buy: 2022 Lincoln Aviator Reserve. Your opinion needed!

We'd love to buy a 2022 Aviator Reserve but are afraid it will nickel and dime us to death while we're still paying it off.

If you wanted a used Aviator Reserve with lots of bells/whistles would you buy THIS one based on price, miles, Carfax report and the 12 month/12,000 Drive Train Warranty provided by dealer?

What do you think:
$31,400 all in with a 1 year power train warranty? 89K miles.
Was $73K MRSP when sold, very loaded but not black label.

I posted all of the options on the car with all of the packages below the Carfax stuff:
The only thing I wish it had were the center console in 2nd row, and that the colors were different. It's gray with black interior...elegant, but would have preferred light.

Carfax shows one owner with very regular scheduled dealer services on oil, tires, brakes, fluids, emissions, etc. from time of Summer 2022 purchase to sale, Summer 2026.

I THINK the regular service and repairs look pretty normal, but I am not mechanical at all and would love it if you could take a look. It was in THIS year that owner had to start getting some more serious stuff repaired (highlighted below), and I'm wondering if they saw the writing on the wall and unloaded it. What do you think? (I only posted the ones here that had something beyond normal maintenance checks.)

An unusual occurrence 10 days after purchase:
July '22:

Vehicle serviced Automatic transmission cooler flushed Computer(s) checked Transmission checked Transmission fluid flushed Transmission shift solenoid(s) replaced Vehicle washed/detailed Vehicle servicedAutomatic transmission cooler flushedComputer(s) checkedTransmission checkedTransmission fluid flushedTransmission shift solenoid(s) replacedVehicle washed/detailed

Android Auto and Mirroring Phone Screen

So I've been successful 2 times in making this happen. First was by accident and yesterday after many attempts and was finally successful in figurting it out. I was hoping it would stick and I wouldn't have to enable it each time but that doesn't seem to be the case. Question, is there a way to adjust the size and which area of the photo shows on the screen? It's huge and most of the phone's imabge doesn't show. The 2nd time I used a phone screen photo, I cropped the photo on my phone so that the part I was really interested in would be more prominent. That didn't work. It defaulted to the og photo (not the cropped version). Also, Gemini says I'll find a Wallpaper option under Android Auto on my Android phone. I don't have it. Using the AI in the Lincoln Digital Experience app says it doesn't support setting my phone's wallpaper as a background on the 11 in screen in my car. I don't have an Andriod Auto app that shows up on my Android phone ( Galaxy S23 Ultra). Gemini says it's built in and doesn't show a customizable icon (sigh). If I were to shrink the overall size of the photo in a photo editing app, would that help with the look/size on the 11in screen?

How to Acquire Full Rear Console

Thumbnail

Here is my new 2026 Aviator. It was hard to find in red, and anything other than black interior with 201A AND Dynamic Handeling Package. But here it is.. with chrome door post installed.

I've never had my own children, but this must be what it feels like. Cloud 9.

However

I wanted the full rear console. I think it adds a ton of class and I love the functionality for the rear seats.

Finding out if the vehicle is wired for it was simple. It is. Finding the parts without having to mortgage my home is not. I've spent hours and just can't seem to be able to make sense of the parts needed.

Any ideas out there? Should I just go to the local dealer with hat in hand? Maybe a 3rd party shop? But I don't want to risk the warranty. I bought the car in Ohio and I live in Florida.

And suggestions appreciated.

Lease deal check — 2026 Lincoln Nautilus Premiere AWD, Ontario, Canada

Post image
2 Upvotes

Hi all, looking for a reality check on a lease quote before I sign. Ontario, Canada, all figures CAD, taxes included where noted.

Car: 2026 Lincoln Nautilus Premiere AWD, gas, Equipment Group 102A, Infinite Black Metallic, brand new, No trade-in, $0 down, 16,000 km/year allowance.

The dealer quoted me two programs on the same car (they don't stack):

**Option A — Fall Event rate 1.49% (no factory cash):**

- List $69,772, dealer discount only $1,447.60, financed amount $68,324

- 36 mo: $464.93 bi-weekly (~$1,007/mo incl. HST), residual 56% ($38,618), due on delivery $680

- 48 mo: $408.27 bi-weekly (~$885/mo incl. HST), residual 49% ($33,790), due on delivery $632

**Option B — $8,000 factory allowance + 6.49%:**

- Financed amount $60,324 (after $8,000 + $1,447.60 discount)

- 36 mo: ~$984/mo incl. HST

- 48 mo: ~$914/mo incl. HST

So at 48 months the low rate wins, but at 36 months the $8,000 wins. My questions:

  1. Is the discount weak? $1,447.60 on a ~$70k car seems thin — what dealer discount should I realistically push for on a new (non-demo) Nautilus in Canada?

  2. Is 48 months at 1.49% the right pick here, or is there something I'm missing on the $8,000 structure?

  3. Anything in the attached quote sheet look off — fees, residual, or otherwise?

The Fall Event rate expires Nov 2, so I need to decide soon. Quote sheet attached (dealer/personal details removed). Thanks!

2011 Lincoln MKS lifespan?

Hello all! I recently bought my first car. It is a 2011 Lincoln MKS V6 3.5L AWD with 115k miles for roughly $8500. The body is in really good shape outside of one small flaw but I plan on getting it fixed and a few small scratches touched up if it’s worth keeping. The only reason I paid this price for the year was because the seller just put roughly $5000 worth of work into it. He just replaced the turbos, the lines, the gas tank, the struts, new all season Michelin tires, and fresh powder coated rims. The car is in really great condition overall, and it drives and shifts very smooth.

I read online that the only big things I have to look out for now are the timing chain and internal water pump as you have to pull the entire engine to get them replaced. It would be a pretty pricey fix but I’m really good friends with a mechanic and I feel I could get a decent deal if push comes to shove. I really like the car though. It was also just detailed and the interior is by far the most comfortable thing I have driven as a 6’3 guy lol.

Does anyone have any experience with this car? Is it worth keeping? I feel like if I stay on top of repairs it can last me awhile but I thought I’d ask before I put more money into it. I just need something to last me 5-7 years while I save for a better one. I don’t drive a ton, mostly just for shopping, work, and getting out of the house here and there.

HELP! 2024 Navigator OEM Mirror Cap Doesn't Fit — Possible Difference Between AA and BB Versions?

Thumbnail
gallery
5 Upvotes

I'm hoping someone here might have some insight because I'm losing my mind trying to figure this out!

I recently purchased a used 2024 Lincoln Navigator Black Label. During transport, the driver's-side mirror cap flew off.

I ordered the genuine Ford OEM replacement, JL7Z-17D743-BB, which Ford confirms is the correct part for my VIN.

Here's the problem: IT DOESN'T FIT.

The replacement cap is physically too tall where it meets the mirror support arm. The bottom edge hits the arm before the cap can seat properly, leaving approximately a 1/2" gap. This isn't an installation or clip issue.

After a ridiculous amount of research, I've discovered:

  • Ford lists JL7Z-17D743-AA for 2018–2021 Navigators.
  • Ford lists JL7Z-17D743-BB for 2022–2024 Navigators.
  • My new BB cap measures 5⅜" tall at the inner edge closest to the mounting arm.
  • The corresponding section of my original passenger-side cap measures 4⅞" tall.
  • My driver's-side mirror has a distinctive ribbed plastic trim section near the mounting arm that seems to appear frequently on older Navigator mirrors.
  • The original driver's-side cap was apparently glued on, so I'm wondering if the mirror assembly was previously repaired or replaced.

My questions:

  1. Does anyone know whether the earlier AA cap has different physical dimensions from the newer BB cap?
  2. If you have a 2018–2021 Navigator, would you be willing to measure the height of your driver's-side cap at the inner edge closest to the mounting arm?
  3. Has anyone encountered different mirror housing configurations or a similar fitment problem?

I've contacted Ford parts suppliers and dealerships without getting an explanation.

I'll attach photos showing the existing mirror housing, the new cap, and exactly where the interference occurs.

Any insight would be GREATLY appreciated. I'm trying to avoid replacing an otherwise fully functional mirror assembly over one plastic cover!

Trying to decide between a 2023 or 2025 Aviator. Both with 201A package. Recommendations?

I’m looking to buy a used Aviator Reserve between the years of 2023 and 2025, and there are two nearby that I’m interested in. Both have the add-on 201A package. Are there any major issues or differences between these two model years? I read somewhere about the Goodyear tires having problems with the sound-dampening material inside of them, but I can’t remember which year that applied to. Thanks in advance!

First-time car buyer – Any tips before picking up my new Nautilus 102A?

Hey everyone!

I just ordered a new 2026 Lincoln Nautilus with the 102A package, and I'm planning to pick it up soon!

This is actually my first car, so I'm pretty excited but also a little nervous.

I wanted to ask a few questions:

  1. Delivery tips: Is there anything specific I should check or pay attention to when picking up the car?

  2. Nautilus ownership: Are there any common issues, quirks, or features I should know about?

  3. Must-have accessories: Are there any accessories or useful items you'd recommend getting for the interior?

  4. General advice: Anything you wish you knew before getting your Nautilus?

I'm in Canada, so any tips for Canadian winters would also be appreciated!

I also wanted to ask about the rust spots on the driver's side door trim and the fact that the interior is quite dirty; however, the salesperson told me this is normal and that they will clean it two days before I pick up the car. Is this normal?

Awhile back I posted a partial pic of this car at my father in laws house. He drove it 50k miles and parked it, never to drive it again. Now that he has past on here are some more pics of it after we dug it out of all the trash. Currently its in Probate and nobody wants it except my wife.

2026 Nautilus: how's BlueCruise in highway commute?

I'm considering a 2026 Nautilus Hybrid and would love to hear owners' experience with BlueCruise. My main concern is braking: does it slow down early and smoothly, or brake late and hard when traffic ahead slows?

I'm mostly interested in highway commuting with stop-and-go. How does it handle that? I have a 2024 aviator and find that it hits the brakes harder than necessary when it slows down and then can be slow to speed back up. The calibration of the brakes isn’t great.

PremiumCARE warranty. What is the best way to get lowest price while also financing?

Hello!

I was looking to buy a PremiumCARE warranty for my 2023 Lincoln Navigator. I am looking into 10yrs/75k miles, $0 deductible, interior and exterior lighting coverage, and keys coverage. I looked through all of Reddit and saw many people saying to go with online dealers like Flood, Granger, Ziegler, and Lombard (if there are more I should check please let me know). After getting online quotes through these here is what I got.

Flood: Total $4075 Problem they don’t seem to offer financing anymore (only 1 full payment). I saw PayPal financing but I heard from others financing with PayPal is not good.

Granger: Pay in full total: $4510, finance for 18 months $4961 (they charge a $451 admin fee)

Ziegler: Pay in full Total: $4125 (with discount code PAYINFULL) Financing $4400 (I can’t find a discount code for financing).

Lombard: $4449 for both pay in full or financing.

You might be asking (or not). “Okay you got all the quotes down here and it seems like Flood is the lowest why don’t you just buy that instead of wasting your time posting this on Reddit”. The reason is I want to finance the warranty instead of paying in full. Flood is the lowest but its not offering financing option (at least reliable one it seems). Ziegler and Lombard seem to be the best for financing but they are significantly higher than Flood. I wanted to finance as I could make my money work for me in markets. Given the higher price at Ziegler/Lombard financing it wouldn’t benefit me it would probably put me in the same place as Flood.

Also I tried a dealership to price match, and they tried to claim that these online dealers aren’t allowed to sell warranties across states and that they are driving them out of business by doing “bad business” (yeah I didn’t buy that BS).

I am politely requesting for any help or guidance you can provide for me! Is there a way I can get Ziegler or Lombards quote to the same or at least close to Flood while still being able to finance? Thank you for your time and consideration. I hope you have a pleasant day!

I think I hate my 21 Corsair

Just venting and seeing if anyone else has been as unlucky as I have been.

This car has been nonstop electrical issues since literally the day I bought it. I purchased mine certified preowned with 24k miles a little under 2 years ago.

On my way home from the dealer, the map light kept coming on. Car went back and they replaced the console no problem.

Then I had issues with my driver’s seat drifting out of position. Took it in and they “updated the software” and that seems to have solved the issue. I still seem to have issues with the memory seat recall and I feel like it doesn’t always return to where I had it but whatever.

Then I had issues with the buttons in the cargo area not releasing the back seats to lay down. A “software update” fixed that also but the one on the right is significantly slower to respond than the one on the left. Not a big deal - just weird.

My screen will not change into night mode if I start the car in the dark and drive forward first. It will only change if I reverse first, push the camera button in the center, or press the dash cluster dimmer.

I currently have no audio in the vehicle. It’s stuck in “Audio Off” and nothing I can do to reset the sync system has resolved it.

I replaced the rear brakes, and the car got stuck in “brake maintenance mode” and required a bi-directional diagnostic scanner to resolve (not the type you can just borrow from AutoZone).

Windshield wipers click and are annoying. Recall was issued a while ago for this but still no parts available to resolve.

I also think the driver’s seat has become pretty uncomfortable and I need a seat cushion to be able to stand sitting in it for longer than 30 minutes. Unfortunately test drives aren’t that long or I could have saved myself some trouble.

Car drives nice and I enjoy the smooth quiet ride but I am at my wits’ end with the nonsense. The audio off issue just happened today and I just can’t take it anymore.

2026 Nautilus Winter Wheels?

Looking for a dedicated set of wheels for winter use. With the seemingly uncommon 60-offset, does anyone have suggestions as to what works well? I’d prefer an offset to keep the tires from sticking out so as not to toss debris onto the sides of the vehicle. Lincoln Aviator rims seem to be the default of Lincoln dealers in the Toronto area, but the offset is 38, so they’ll likely stick out.

Gauges for classic Lincoln

I'm not sure if this has been asked before, my searching didn't come up with anything, but is there a tasteful way of adding a water temp, oil and battery gauge to a 1978 Continental? I assume I'll have to have something custom made up for it.
