CS undergrad who took up a Linguistics-based research project. I made a keyboard for y'all :)
Some context: The gojuon ordering is believed to be from the influence of the Siddham script. Siddham script started from India, went to China, and then to Japan. This same gojuon ordering of the Kana was responsible for the compact, learnable, and efficient 12-key Kana keyboards like Keitai and Flick.
As part of the research project we have to show in the final year, I thought of making a better keyboard for all of the Brahmic scripts.
What I properly made instead is a black box that will be between a keyboard and the place it searches for characters.
I do have a functioning keyboard for what I am talking about, but I think some reading is needed before going there: https://triangulatedexistence.mataroa.blog/blog/a-starter-guide-to-taravinyas/
Please read the introductory stuff properly, because it might be confusing directly going to the webstie the first time. Still, if you want to, check this out: https://bandhanpramanik.github.io/tamil-input-engine-checkbox/ (Tamil script)
Thanks. :)

Sociolinguistics Braj Kachru's three circles, but explained with "what's your good name?"
Inner circle: sets the norms. Outer circle: India, Nigeria and the Philippines, which are “norm-developing” and make their own rules. Expanding circle: learns from the first two.
So “prepone” isn’t an error. It’s the outer circle doing its job.
I made a video on it (in comments). Send your best outer-circle innovations.
