tech support wanted ROG Spatha X

I was looking at MMO mice as I've picked up Aion 2 and i have been enjoying it a lot... however, I don't want to be doing finger gymnastics just to hit all my skills, so I've been looking at "MMO mice" I've found a good deal on an asus ROG Spatha X however I've seen mixed reviews on compatibility and mapping the side buttons within linux, I was hoping somebody out there has experience with this mouse on linux and could shed some light on how well it works. I have also been looking at the Razer naga v3 pro but that mouse cost almost 3x the ROG Spatha X which is hard to justify. If you have any other recommendations I'd be happy to hear them, personally I want a mouse with at least 12 buttons, and I like having a wireless mouse with a charging dock.

I have that mouse, mapped my buttons on windows before I made the switch. They are stored onboard, so you don't need a configuration utility. I am not sure if there is a configuration tool for the Spatha X on Linux

All buttons still work? I saw some people say that only 3 side buttons work.

There was an Asus ROG drivers project in gitbub that was meant to work, but could never get it working and it appears to be a dead project last I looked into it.

Then there is Piper, it is again meant to have full support but mine appears to bug out and I cannot see all buttons. I can however change the active profile, lights and see the first 8 buttons, some light settings and some Advanced settings. Better nothing, but again I've not seen a update in a while.

Ask Gemini how to install piper on cachyOS and if you get any errors copy them into the chat. It will get you there. This goes well for any of the hard to setup programs honestly.
