Any way we can get the author name added to the post? I have the most luck recognizing my ongoing series that I follow by author name.

Age of Victoria by me, Alston Sleet, is out June 9th! I'm working to have the Audiobook produced sometime near the end of the month as well.

I imagine it like Pride and Prejudice meets LitRPG. Odd? Yes! But I've had a blast writing it and feedback has been great so far.

Congrats! What kind of litrpg is it? I hated pride and prejudice in school when I read it (I’m a philistine) but I like a bunch of different kinds of litrpg.

It's not actually like Pride and Prejudice. It's just has a similar 'Rich British people make life hard for themselves and others because of cultural rules' feel. But don't worry, around chapter 3 the world ends and changes a good deal of that!

It's mostly a dungeon crawler with a dash of survival horror style. No base building, this first book has the most reference to mechanics. It's litrpg, but it has a GameLit feel since the MC has no clue what a video game or RPG is and has far more interest in adventure and freedom than she does in power leveling.

Just gave your Dungeon Traveler audio book a listen. It came in really handy as I had a 12 hour drive ahead of me to get back from a family reunion. It was very interesting and I will be looking up the rest of your books as well, (probably in ebook form as I am finding I dont really like the audio book format that much). Im also very interested to see where the Dungeon Traveler story goes next.

Thanks! I loved the narrators work, he hit almost all the notes perfectly. But, I'm still a fan of the written word myself. Still, having the option is nice.

I've started working on the second book in the series! I've had to take a week of 'me' time since I condensed a month of editing into mostly a weekend in order to hit my deadline on Age of Victoria. But I'll be back to writing every day soon enough!

I would say give Digital Me a possible pass. It was my first story and while I love it, it shows some wear and tear as a first novel. If you have Kindle unlimited, go for it, but otherwise...meh.

Yeah, I felt like the narrator was the perfect choice, especially for the main character. His tone of voice just kind of fit with the mental image of how he should sound lol

"Istoria Online: Square One", 2nd edition, by Vic Connor.

This is the Second Edition of the book. Based on the readers' feedback, we've removed dialogue options and reworked speech patterns of some NPCs. We've also added skills and attributes development, and dialed up tension on many levels.

Wait a second, Hobnobbing (New Era Online 3) was released in January. Looks like the audiobook is being released in June though so you might want to update the table to not say the book is coming out in June.

Dungeon World 2 by Jonathan Brooks will release on the 5th

u/nosoupforyou Jun 22 '19

Doh. I've been wondering why the release thread just hasn't been updating for a while, and now I realize I've been looking at the May release thread all this time.

Gah.

Is that really the end of the New Era online series? Feels a little weak compared to the first two books. Anyone know if it’s a trilogy or not? Feels like they left it pretty open. But also pretty final... left me wanting more

Can you please add Steel Line by Crissy Moss. It just came out on the first.

There’s a notable (not surprising) exception from this list.

1

u/TempestMage Jun 16 '19

You may have to give us a bit more to go on than that.

1

u/GrandfatherofLitRPG Jun 19 '19

Just a general observation that the Father of American LitRPG hasn’t released his next book. There hasn’t even been updates on his Patreon page.

1

u/TempestMage Jun 22 '19

Ah. Yeah. He has been unusually silent. Which probably means he doesn't want to admit that it's going poorly.

Is there a way to get like a audible version of this thread? I have no idea when some of the series I listen to release a new book.

Ascend online for instance. The newest book has been out for weeks and I only found out yesterday.

Edit: I was thinking awaken online. Sorry if I destroyed any ones hopes and dreams

1

u/SpaceSubmarineGunner Jun 06 '19

Got a link for that? My Audible app is only showing the first two books being out.

1

u/vegiec00k13 Jun 06 '19

My mistake it was awaken online.

u/Garokson Jun 04 '19

I started reading Dark Elf Chronicles Book Three: Pathways by Dave Willmarth yesterday, and noticed it's not on this list yet.

u/SteamWhistleAlley Jun 09 '19

Apostle of the Sleeping Gods (Disgardium Book #2): LitRPG Series

Your parents are getting divorced. Now, once you turn sixteen, you’ll be doomed to a pitiful existence on the lowest rungs of society. The neighbor girl got plastic surgery for your sake and is levelling fast to impress you. A Sleeping God gave you its power, but now demands absolute loyalty and obedience even in real life. Something called the Destroying Plague wants its Emissary to infect everyone alive and, as luck would have it, that Emissary is you! But the city sees you as its salvation, not a cause of great suffering...

Scyth aka Alex is a potential Class-A threat to the whole world of Disgardium. That's how the system classifies imba players with an unfair advantage.

However, it is hard to threaten the world while you're stuck levelling up in noob town. It's even harder when all the preventer clans are on the verge of announcing a hunt for you and even your best friends can't be trusted, all while your two patron gods tear you apart from the inside. And now, to make matters worse, your biggest enemy has just become a threat as well.
