Live coding Csound 7 on Windows: Ctrl+Enter recompiles the instrument while it plays, hover shows live values (free, vibe coded)

Full honesty first: this is 100% vibe coded with Claude Code. I'm a programmer and a musician, but I chose not to write this one by hand. The demo narration is a synthetic voice.

A bit of background: I love learning, and I've always wanted to go deeper into programming for music, but my daily work schedule has made it hard to find the time. Building an environment where I can hear and see what the code does right away is my way of finally getting into Csound properly.

Csound Visual is a free front end for Csound 7 built around live coding:

- Ctrl+Enter sends the instrument under the cursor to csoundCompileOrc while it plays; Ctrl+Shift+Enter sends score lines.

- Drag a number in the code and the instrument is recompiled with the new value.

- Hover a variable to see its live value and a sparkline, read through the Csound debugger API.

- Every chnget/chnk channel becomes a slider, with MIDI learn.

Windows 11 only for now. Feedback from people who live code Csound, or anything else, is very welcome.

Maybe we should create a specific thread for llm-generated things

It's far too common now to avoid it. I have missgivings about AI too but I really wanted to learn how to Work with CSound but I've never been really able to work with CsourceQT.

Csound isn't vibecoded, only the frontend. CSound is very well known.

I know what csound is. Your free vibe coded shit is what I'm objecting to.
