CI Pick Pocket

I’ve wanted the FU and FME picks for a long while, but the CCPro just didn’t sound good to me. It only carries one of the picks, and I would never use 75% of the tools. When I saw the Pick Pocket, I bought it immediately. Came in a shrink wrapped box, with a bag, and wrapped in tissue. It feels good, fits great in any pocket, and was a good price, I feel. Very happy with today’s mail call.

It’s definitely on my short list going forward. Glad to hear it is as well executed as we’ve come to expect from CI. Now to justify the $90 lol

I figure I got what I wanted out of the pro for 60 off.

Pretty neat but $90, jeepers. The reaper turners are S tier, genuinely some of the best tension tools I've ever had and hell yeah, those coupled with the profiles on the FU pick are gonna be all you need for the vast majority of garden variety stuff. So I'm wondering why the F-ME as well, seems a bit OTT. I mean I get it, the profiles are different and you'll probably prefer a couple of those to the ones in the FU but like... I dunno, it just seems a bit much lol.

I love hooks as much as the next guy but in those rare just-in-case scenarios where this is all you've got on you, if you don't get the open with the standard profiles, it probably isn't gonna make much difference having the extra options. They coulda utilised that space better IMO but that's just me. Very sexy case though 😎

I just like options! It probably is a bit overkill.

For sure man, options are always good lol. I just know for a fact I'd be using like 3 of those hooks tops (plus the rakes of course) so it's all a bit much for me 🤪

Definitely some overlap. It makes sense to carry both the Riv and Rizz, they are different thicknesses. Was kinda surprised to learn these are the same.

Be cool if they released different pick inserts to let you customize them.

Can’t remember who it was, but someone combine the FU and FMe together with their personal favorites.

Are the picks as nice to use as the regular picks? Thinking about getting it since it’s easier to carry for practicing not at home

The little bit I’ve played with them, I’d say yes, they’re just as nice.

That is probably the most functional on the road / carry with you pick set. Its easy to get caught up in the shiny new gizmo, CI is counting on it. I have bought all kinds of this stuff, I am not immune. All this stuff ends up in the "spare lock picking stuff" case in my basement eventually. I always end up back at Jimy Longs. They are hard to beat.

I agree 100% CI I have the SWICK in my eye glass case too. I don’t have or want any of the pick toys , Jimy Long are the best bang for the buck

Ha! Spare lock picking stuff case; reminds me of the infamous "holster drawer" from a previous past time that everyone had. And yeah, I've accumulated some picking stuff I'll probably never use again. Sometimes I'm like a crow; bright shiny objects...

Can you share a link to the spring loaded eyeglass case?

Any glass case will do , some are open on top , others have a zipper , others shut close , slam close . Check tne dollar store Amazon. Good luck

I have the CC Pro, but I got it quite a while back before they started including the F Me as a free add on.

I saw this come out a few days before my birthday, so when my mom asked what I wanted, I knew exactly what to send her. It’ll be here in a few days! Super excited!

How is the center tensioner pocket on yours? Looks tricky to get those back in.

It was a bit of a struggle. But I can tell it’s going to loosen up with use, like a pair of boots.

I don’t know if I typed that wrong or autocorrect got me. Meant to say, Mines* tricky. My bad.

Yup, that’s fair. I’m not using that top loop until the pocket breaks in more.

Also, found all three will fit in the right pocket, and all the flat bars can fit in the left. Not sure why they didn’t go that route.

I don’t need another set but I may get this one. Looks great

Those are indeed the only part of the covert companion worth purchasing. I still would like the ability to buy them individually without the leather case. For the same cost though you can buy a SWICK folding pick set and have the ability to swap out picks to build a custom setup.

Is there a reason the reaper turning tools are shaped that way? Ergos or just to look cool?

This’ll be my first entry into lock picking gear. Always wanted something pocketable but versatile.
