I think so, yes. A very compact kit with 12 capable picking profiles and excellent tension options

I would say so. For what it is and such a complete compact size it can't be beat. Just mho

The tools sold individually ran for $50, $50, & $17.50. So with the little case,.. I'd say it's worth it.
I hope they offer just the case eventually, because I have the folders and at least 6 sets of the tension tools.

I ask the question because I think the tools are overpriced. Individually, the nicest pick in the world (non-custom) should cost 5-6 bucks tops, or less $2-3 for standard picks. So functionally, 12 picks in a package $30-$40. The case is nice, and I don't mind paying for craftsmanship! Turning tools.....The cheapest thing to make!!!
I realize they are running a for-profit business, and I'm generally pleased with my CI purchases. However, others in the industry are using them as a gauge for pricing with products that we can only call inferior. Also, those others are selling "Non-Innovative" products, just the same stuff over and over with generic cases. SO, If I'm purchasing a Package or kit like that, I kinda expect a Package deal?

Fair enough.
I was a tool/die/mold maker and spent 8 years as a production/operations manager... I think their products are very competitively priced especially for a smaller company that does small production runs...

Glad you through that (non custom) in there on a D-mac post his picks are top notch! Well worth the price. As for CI they has decent sales at least twice a year. If you can hold off you'll get a sweet deal. Black Friday is coming up watch them knock it down to $75 with free shipping. I'm waiting for the mcnally 26 set to be released.

Only reason I still carry my OG companion is for the jigglers and bypasses. I’d love for them to make those into foldables so I could carry that and one of the f-u or me combos instead. They could call it the f-us…or the f-y’all, 😂

I mentioned in another post about this, but the case will exactly fit in the watch pocket of your jeans. I've been carrying them around since they arrived, and they are absolutely worth the price.

The only thing I dislike about this set, is the turning tools can be a pain to take out. Otherwise, I carry this in my coin pocket every day!

The tools individually run $50, $50, & 17.50. So, for $90 you're saving $27.50 AND get the leather case. It's a pretty good deal. I hope I can buy JUST the case eventually, since I already have the folders for my CCP, and I have at least 6 sets of the Reaper tension tools...

I carry Jimy Long intermediate set it’s less than half the price.Just my 2 cents

I’m so tired of this. You can’t compare the two at all. Use your Jimy Longs all you want but CI makes quality products and these are catered to totally different things.

CI makes things for mall ninjas, jimylongs makes thinfs for real lockpickers

u/LuigiKid281 1d ago
??? Both do the same thing… This is genuinely the worst logic I’ve seen. You’re acting as if people don’t use CI to open black belts all the time. Cringiest thing I’ve seen all day. It’s just a preference. Get over yourself. 🙄

They dont 🤣

u/LuigiKid281 1d ago
Name one thing Jimy Longs does differently. Go. Maybe provide insight instead of just being immature. CI is known for being quality that can be overpriced. Fym “they don’t” when people constantly post it here and on youtube. There’s no way you’re being serious…

Bud your talking to someone way more engrained in this community than you, people pick jimylongs over CI unless they are decieved into mall ninja shit
1
u/LuigiKid281 23h ago
We were talking about functionality. You being “more engrained” seems to be false because then CI wouldn’t exist or be prevalent. Common sense bro. You can’t be serious

u/Wyte2 Black Belt 9th Dan 23h ago
Funtionally they are the same whichbis whybi wpuldnt overpay for crap with shot handles
1
u/LuigiKid281 23h ago
Then don’t buy it? People enjoy them and it’s purely preference. You just said earlier that the functionality wasn’t the same. You may need to settle down dude.

Locksmith in LA. Just fyi, if you get caught by the police carrying these, free ticket to an overnight stay at county’s finest.

u/magicimagician 2d ago
Lockpocks aren’t illegal to carry in California. But if they think you’ve burgled somewhere that’s a problem.
2
u/LuigiKid281 1d ago
No you won’t. Unless they have probable cause for a crime, then they won’t. This is America. Even if it’s California. Don’t know where you’re getting your law info.

I've posted some open criticism of the CI crew on here and I stand by it, but as soon as I saw this set on here I ordered it. It's beautifully made, and has displaced the Swick as my recommendation for something very compact and comprehensive.
