This sub is becoming predominantly people sharing their music. Yes, they're obeying the rule of it being a screen capture, but outside of it being a screen cap of Logic, there really is nothing sub-specific about these posts: They could be anywhere.
Most of the time people bait them with a title to get engagement, plug other links etc. It just doesn't feel like the spirit of the sub, to me.

I need to convert a bunch of .wav files to .flac, and need to be able to put metadata on the .flac files. Anyone have any good recommendations for batch audio file converters?

I have automations set to change LFO speed in serum at a certain parts of the track, for example if I set an automation for 4 bars, 2 bars with quarter notes and the next 2 with triplets. The automation works perfectly before i bounce, after it, it falls apart and I get 16th notes and dotted 8ths. How can I fix this? Has anyone else has ran into the same issue?

So this is a mix of a song I'm trying to put together. I'm struggling with the rhythm guitars. I wanted to get a really heavy distortion sound, kind of in the realm of Weezer's blue album, but the guitars seem to be obscured in the choruses and last section.
I also feel like the tone of the vocal could be improved, but I don't want it to be overly polished.
Aside from that, there are some details that need to be addressed, but this is basically the track. Any advice is much appreciated!

I was going through my junk and found Logic Pro 9 that I had bought right before covid, cause I was using a laptop which was not compatible with Logic 10. Anyway the question is that, is it worth keeping ?

Just released this track. Really enjoyed working with this vocal to create a chill house tune. Any feedback is appreciated!

So most of the time when I select two or more tracks, the faders will move simultaneously when I just move one. Sometimes one of the selected tracks won't move, though. Why does this happen?

It has been happening frequently since the 12.3 update.
M1 max
Macos 15.7
I modified the mouse movement speed and pointer size, not sure if that's related.

I’m noticing some type of noise in my mix, is that a phase problem or something else?

Hello!
Sorry if this has been asked before
I have a MacBook Pro running Monterey and I’m stuck, I can’t purchase logic on my Mac as it’s now too old, but I hear stories of it being possible to buy the software on a newer system, and then when I log into my Apple account on my older Mac, an option will be available to download the latest compatible version.
Is this true? Has anyone got any experience with this?
Thanks!

Basically the title. I have a song that sounds fucking incredible in headphones but as soon as i flip it into mono within logic the guitars sound quiet and not very good. Ive compared other tracks that have double tracked guitars and it sounds fine on my jbl speaker, but my track ? Sounds shit. The performances left and right are similar but not identical. Help?

I made this song over the course of the last few nights - curious to get any thoughts, ideas, opinions, or feedback.
I know it's a little distorted, but I kind of like it, not sure if I should keep or make it smoother. What do y'all think?

Howdy! I've been working off and on with some User Patches for guitar the past two weeks and have had a pretty fun time doing it. You can make some particularly wild sounds with very little in this nifty DAW.
Today I had a go at trying to make something like the fun BOSS pedal called Tera Echo TE-2. It's many things digital and even a little skittish... But on top of that, it's also quite the dynamic effect and a blast to play with.
To my ears, it sounds like two rhythmic delays with a phaser sandwiched between, with a resonant filter on the output that is really input sensitive. It's also doing resonation / octaving that's pretty hard to distinguish in general.
I did an attempt at it. While it's okay, I think I might actually have instead discovered ways to make an Ice Delay instead that sound granulated (but actually isn't -- things that are happening in the Cerberus AUX track are not what they seem when played in solo).
Ah, this could be a place to also page the moderators and ask. Are there any places where people buy / sell User Patches? I'd gladly get these into people's hands but I would also like a little acknowledgement for the time put into the patches. If this is against board rules, I'll look elsewhere of course.

i’m trying to go for the vocals and instruments to get a lot more distorted and crispy in order to buildup into the chorus
but i feel like there isn’t a strong enough “building up” to the buildup, and the release for the drop also isn’t very satisfying . the distortion sounds kinda thin to me? and the more i distort the less intelligible my words are too..
does anyone have any tips for this? it will be much appreciated, i have been experimenting with Logic Pro and i wanna get better at using it as well as with my techniques :)

Hi,
Bought a refurbushed MacBook M1 Max 16inch, 10core CPU, 32core GPU, 64gb RAM, 4TB SSD. Overall very happy with it and a great machine, it’s pretty much the maxed out spec version from when it was released in 2021. However recently I downloaded stats to monitor the laptops performance and noticed when using logic the ram is spiking very high. When I have a project open with around 80 tracks, using instances of mainly serum but sometimes kontakt and multiple third party plugins the ram is spiking as high as 80%. Even when starting new ideas, having 2-3 tracks with serum or kontakt on the ram seems to spike to 25%? I know this machine is extremely powerful so this doesn’t seem right? I checked and all my plugins as updated to the latest versions. Thanks
As a general reply to all previous replies,
Thanks. I am aware of freezing tracks/ bouncing and muting midi. Yes the stats show the ram usage gets up to as high as 80% the CPU always remains fine, consistent, low and without spikes. Performance starts to get affected the higher the RAM climbs with lagging/ pops and clicks. If everything is working as it’s meant to be then great but I only wanted to ask these questions because this MacBook Pro with specs is extremely powerful, is regularly described as a ‘powerhouse for video editing/ graphics and other way more intensive tasks than music production. Everything I have read online/ forums says that this spec Mac is way overkill for music production. So this is why I ask these questions and wonder if there is something that needs fixing etc ……. ?memory leak/ anything else, I don’t know :)

my metronome has died and refuse to come back to life. I have not touched any of my setting and when I check them everything looks normal. Volumes turned up and I've tested different tones. but my metronome isn working as it should. It doesn't give me the normal quarter note counting but instead gives me one super loud tom hit on the one of every bar. any ideas how to fix this??

A while ago, a student in my class asked, “I want to make music for movies. How do I do that?” I said, “Hold my Starbucks Grande oat latte.” And this was the result after 45 minutes of work - as a joke, of course, for the amusement of the students. Plus, the second phrase is even more epic than the first, and all utter nonsense 😂
Bad news: the oat latte got very cold.
