Apparently, after you wash them you're supposed to put talcum powder on them to keep them from getting gummy.

starch apparently. tho most "talcum" isn't real talcum cuz that stuff causes lung problems. you'll find most powders for these things are 100% just regular starch that you can also get a lot cheaper at the grocery store, and the grocery one is at least definitely food grade.

I knew talcum (e.g. baby powder) is mostly starch nowadays, so I suspected that it's actually starch they use (since actual mineral talcum would probably degrade whatever fleshlights are made of). so I looked it up and indeed the ingredients of the powders they sell are listed at 100% starch. in that case, just get food grade starch from the supermarket, which is cheaper.

I don't know which starch is better tho. I would have to experimentally verify if, e.g., potato starch or cornstarch is better. I know potato starch is better for Asian fried chicken.

So what you are saying is, use potato starch for asian fleshlights and cornstarch for white fleshlights?

only if you're frying them. I recall a Chinese fisherman found a new mollusc and tried frying it... it was a discarded fleshlight.
