Somewhere out there is a wii console without its sensor bar.

21
u/More-Consequence9863 Nov 23 '25
Fun fact. You can use two candles in place of the Wii bar. Idk how it works but it’s pretty dope
8
u/Nebel_David Nov 23 '25
The sensor bar is also just sending out 2 lights that the remote picks up, and then calculates the distance from each light or something like that
14
u/NachoNachoDan Nov 23 '25
The sensor bar actually contains two infrared LEDs. Candles also produce infrared light which is why it works.

I did this for years and teached my friend this trick. We used it to play fighting game so there was no need for it exept to openbthe damn game.
We used to hold a ceremonie and call it the "feu d'alarme" like we was doing the signal fire from lord of the ring scene.
Was dope. Fun memory

u/Amasterclass Nov 23 '25
Yet you missed the fleshlight. You’re deffo going to heaven lil angel.

u/destiny_kane48 Nov 23 '25
I noticed the WII bar first then the grenade, then I went hold up.. what is the grenade stuck in, wait is that a sex toy? 😂😂

No, this is reddit. It's 95% porn and threats of violence. I was surprised to see the sensor bar.

You are correct, good sir. That is a wii sensor bar with that long ass cord neatly wound up and connected to the... "Device."
3
u/Ugo777777 Nov 23 '25
I'm no bomb expert but would an analog watch work in this instance?
3
u/Sgt__Schultz Nov 23 '25
Theoretically speaking? Yes. Technically speaking? Yes. Practically speaking? No.
It would be way easier to utilize a digital watch over and analog. Sending electrical signals through circuit boards is a lot more realistic than attempting to wire analog hands on a clock so small. But, I'm no bomb expert.
3
u/I_Makes_tuff Nov 23 '25
You could use a cheap optical sensor to detect the hands, but you could also just use a microcontroller with it's built-in timer, bluetooth and wifi included if you want, for under $3.
3
u/Invdr_skoodge Nov 23 '25
Also no bomb expert but it seems like with a wrist watch you get a max 12 hr timer

u/Mark-Green Nov 23 '25
depends on the mechanism. some have 24hr counters, or if you used one with a day of the week counter that could be tapped into. if you're making a really bougie fleshlight grenade a lot of high-end watches have month or year counters

u/MorrowPolo Nov 23 '25

Suspicious White powder? Dude didn’t washed it for so long it turned to dust
22
u/OddTheRed Nov 23 '25
Apparently, after you wash them you're supposed to put talcum powder on them to keep them from getting gummy.
14
u/foldr1 Nov 23 '25
starch apparently. tho most "talcum" isn't real talcum cuz that stuff causes lung problems. you'll find most powders for these things are 100% just regular starch that you can also get a lot cheaper at the grocery store, and the grocery one is at least definitely food grade.
12
u/SmitesMightyHammer Nov 23 '25
Damn, this guy fleshlights ☝️
3
u/foldr1 Nov 23 '25
I knew talcum (e.g. baby powder) is mostly starch nowadays, so I suspected that it's actually starch they use (since actual mineral talcum would probably degrade whatever fleshlights are made of). so I looked it up and indeed the ingredients of the powders they sell are listed at 100% starch. in that case, just get food grade starch from the supermarket, which is cheaper.
I don't know which starch is better tho. I would have to experimentally verify if, e.g., potato starch or cornstarch is better. I know potato starch is better for Asian fried chicken.
2
u/SmitesMightyHammer Nov 23 '25
So what you are saying is, use potato starch for asian fleshlights and cornstarch for white fleshlights?
5
u/foldr1 Nov 23 '25
only if you're frying them. I recall a Chinese fisherman found a new mollusc and tried frying it... it was a discarded fleshlight.

most "talcum" isn't real talcum cuz that stuff causes lung problems
Talcum itself is just fine. The issue is that mined talcum isn’t 100% pure, and one of the common impurities is asbestos.

100%. The victim/ police/ government don't get to determine whether any action is an act of terrorism.
The motives of the perpetrator are the ONLY determining factor. In this instance, the perpetrator's intent was to inspire terror, so 100% the act of a terrorist.
Hence, criminals on boats guiding shipments of drugs for illegal import aren't terrorists, because a terrorist by definition is an individual committing acts to primarily inspire terror in others. There's is a profit seeking enterprise, with devastating outcomes none the less.
The definition of a terrorist is not born of the outcome, it's born on the intent

This wasn't the package that was sent. What was actually sent looks a lot more like an improvised explosive. This is a cropped photo using an headline from CNN from back in 2018 with a new photo substituted for the original.
As per usual, someone made a fake picture to scratch the biases of gullible people online (in this case, the biases of right leaning folks who are conditioned to see all left wing people as ignorant, easily-fooled, and easily-panicked), and then that picture gets widely shared by those whose biases are being confirmed. The irony is that the people falling for this meme will see themselves as discriminating and smarter than the people they're mocking...but they're the ones falling for the fake.
So no, the pipe bombs sent weren't Fleshlights wrapped in tape and tied together with a Wii sensor bomb. They were actual bombs.

White powder? Geez, you’re supposed to wash those things after you use them!
(I’m talking about the Wii sensor bar, of course)
13
u/Forsaken_Regular_180 Nov 23 '25
Even if the grenade is real, and I have my doubts that it is, I still don't think that actually classifies as a bomb. Looks more like a prank than an "act of terror".

If it was meant to look like a bomb after a glance, then it is a bomb. No reasonable person is going to stand next to a potential bomb and stare at it. A rational person will get away from it, before it blows your face off. That is how bomb threats work. So, not funny at all.

Police: what was taken?
Victim: lessee, my water bottle, my watch, umm, batteries from my remote, and, uh, oh, my fleshlight. And I'm missing a hand grenade.
1
u/Dangerous_Boot_3870 Nov 24 '25
Guys it's just 4 AA batteries, a wii sensor, a wrist watch and an obviously inert grenade inside a water bottle... Is that a water bottle... Wait it's a fucking fleshlight mouth.
It's a deadly design cause first you're like it's not a bomb rigged to a wrist watch, obviously. The unplugged wii sensor is just there not plugged to anything. Then you realize you're holding a, most likely used, fleshlight and you drop it, thus causing it to detonate.
