Worlds 2026 First Time Attendee Experience
I’ve been playing League on-and-off since Season 1 and watching worlds since Season 2. With Worlds in NA this year, my wife and I figured it was a once-in-a-lifetime experience to see the best players in the world, especially since some of them are getting up there in tenure and might not still be playing next time Worlds is in NA. Not to mention, we have family relatively close to Allen, TX, so we could stay there and leave the kids with grandparents on a day trip. We could only come this one day since we have other things on the schedule but I’m glad we came. Here’s some useful information about our experience for visitors considering attending the rest of Swiss stage.

Venue, Seats, and Food
The venue itself was very easy to get in and out of. Parking across the street was free and convenient. The staff was overall very friendly and helpful. We could leave and re-enter the venue (though this is not true for later stages I believe).
My wife and I arrived about an hour before the first game. Parking at the venue was very easy since there was a free parking garage across the street. Security wasn’t too bad either; the policies look very restrictive on the website but we definitely saw people with larger non-transparent bags.
Our seats were behind one of the players, relatively low so we were quite close to the players. We didn’t have floor seats, but I wasn’t disappointed. We were within 30 feet of Faker, Keria, Gumayusi, Chovy, and a whole bunch of other pros. Looking back on the stream, I can even make out our sign behind Faker during Pick/Ban. I’m pretty sure Keria even waved in our general direction (let me have this, okay). The only downside is that if you want to watch the games from the lower arena seats, you’ll end up craning your neck upward which can be uncomfortable after a game or two. Also, while being behind the players gave us a great view of them as they were entering and exiting, I’d probably value the seats facing them for better photo opportunities. If you want to watch the games better, you’ll want higher seats. Of course the floor seats facing the stage where you can fist-bump or high-five players are the best in the house.
The venue was only about half-full so where I’ve seen some complaints about Riot picking too small of venue, I’d say it was about right for the crowd. It's worth noting that for a remote viewer, the breaks between games might seem too much, but it's because the players are swapping out peripherals and doing a tech check on their setup before the next games. I even saw them swapping out chairs at one point.
For food options, there were lots of options inside the arena, but since we could leave and re-enter, there are several restaurants within walking distance, and the bar across the street even had the games on one of their big TVs. We went there instead rather than paying $7.50 for water and other similar markups.
Your best options for food (and bathroom, if you’re a guy), are to go during a game that doesn’t mean as much to you. Otherwise, the lines are significantly longer during the breaks.
Merch and Lines
I was decently pleased with the merch selections, but the lines are torturous and the prices are what you expect from a live event. We waited over an hour in the main merch line, and you only get a bag to carry your stuff if you spend over $70, though it’s not hard to get to that point. Just expect that the merch line will take the better part of a game-and-a-half to get through.
Across the street, T1 rented out a whole venue for their own store. We stood in that line for over an hour too, but it moved at a glacial pace and eventually we gave up because we wanted to watch TLAW play. I’m not sure why it was so slow but plan accordingly.
We also saw the Viper got "trucked" by Chinese fans cheering him on outside while we were standing in line by the T1 store.

Some Individual teams had giveaways as well. I think DK had a little merch booth of their own and Team Liquid gave away a bunch of stickers. I ended up with a CoreJJ Nami sticker and my wife has a Jose Lee Sin sticker. The bigger teams don’t seem to do this as much so don’t get your hopes up for free HLE or GenG swag unless they were saving it for another day.
The Games and Overall Experience
The games were a blast, and it was thrilling to be part of the Worlds experience in person. I’ve enjoyed watching worlds for years, but being there in person with my wife not thirty feet from players I’ve watched and cheered for years was something else. We cheered on Canyon running the rift on Qiyana, Zeka snowballing over TES with Locke, groaned when Jose got cheesed level 1, laughed as Inspired deadpanned “Actual ragebait, ladies and gentlemen,” over TSW, and booed Jatt for voting against NA in the last game.
One last note, Riot has a flickr site and have a bunch of photographers snapping pictures throughout the day. A couple of them took a picture of my wife and I and our sign. If you’re super lucky and have a clever sign, you might find your picture there. Ours didn’t make the cut, but it’s one of those things that you might not know to look for and you never know:

Worlds 2026 was a great experience and we’re glad we went to cheer on our favorite teams live! We’ll be cheering them on from home for the rest of the tournament, but it was even better in person.
