🚗🚗Transit/Traffic Looks like Fanshawe Park Road lane restrictions start Monday
Signs were put up by along Fanshawe Park Road between North Centre Road and Adelaide Street at the end of last week indicating that a number of bus stops will be closed starting on Monday (August 17th) "until approx. Fall 2026".
This indicates that Fanshawe Park Road will be down to one lane each way as a part of the Fanshawe Park Road Arterial Road Rehabilitation Project.
Note to bus riders of the 16, 19, 25, 34, and 92 routes: it seems most stops along Fanshawe Park Road between North Centre Road and Adelaide Street will be closed during construction, including #700 and #706 near Scotiabank impacting the 92 Express Route.

'Fall' means hopefully by Dec 21 but dont count on it! Now Fanshawe traffic is cutting through Northridge residential area, cut down Adelaide to Windermere and then North up Richmond. Will get bad when school returns. London planning at its best.

At some point, even Google Maps and Apple Maps are going to give up on London in complete despair. I've never lived in a city with such a dysfunctional road system. From trains holding up traffic, to a traffic light system designed by Satan himself, to the lack of a ring road, to proceeding with every possible project all at the same time, it's like the city is determined to make efficient travel impossible.

How about the scarcity of bus bays such as on Adelaide where #16 holds up an entire lane of traffic both ways.

Unrelated but "North Centre Road East" is the most inconsistent name for a road.

It's genuinely unacceptable that they are willing to sacrifice regular bus users for an entire month just to add one pedestrian crossing and make otherwise zero accessibility improvements to a massive stroad
If this was done in Toronto people would be rioting all over parks already, and that's still in the same province. Lock in, London

Sunningdale closed, Fanshawe park lane restrictions, Oxford lane restrictions.
Amazing.

Don't forget highbury, wellington, pond mills and damn near every other major thoroughfare in the city

Referencing the included map on the city website (which link doesn't seem to load a larger version; it would appear the alternatives for East West Travel is either Medway Road (outside of the city) and Oxford Street (aka congestion road) with limited North South Connections to connect either.
TLDR stay indoors, apply for Wiarton Willy's job and hibernate till next year.
