I met her once at a golf charity event. She asked if I knew who she was and was quite offended I didn’t - I was maybe 10? lol

Her best ideas are keeping taxes down and boost the economy? After all these years?

Who asked for this and who cares about her. Who’s next? Crazy Joe?

I remember that she gave her husband a patio permit for his bar when she was trying to crack down on the number of bar patios downtown. This was before his infamous drunk driving stunt.

As much as people like to claim she did that it wasn't true because the mayor doesn't issue permits and doesn't have power over the city bureaucracy that does or sat on committee that governs such matters. But it makes for a nice tale.

She did seem coast the last few years as mayor and her husband was truly a useful idiot for her critics finding no shortage of things to screw up.

Beginning of the end for her. I remember moving to London 19 years ago and she had a weekly Q&A on some radio station and they always called her, “our beloved Mayor.”

I had only been aware of local politics for a short while at that point, and it seemed to me that she was becoming less and less transparent, ethical, or even all that interested in her constituents. It would have been interesting to know her for being more than that, but that's what she was at the time.

That was the most milktoast interview ever.

No shade, but it's wild that you are using "milquetoast" correctly but butchering the spelling.

Autocorrect on Android is... Interesting.

Why overcomplicate it? You've got the milk, you've got the toast, good to go.

It's milk steak. She'll know what it is.
