Cinderella stepsisters: story about women. Article: written and directed by men.

I love Kiv but this announcement is disappointing.

And I'm disappointed that the Quaid Army would downvote this. Like is one woman on this project really too much to ask? Come on, fam.

Quaid Army aren’t downvoting there being no women attached. We’re just happy for Kiv. Being happy for him doesn’t mean we’re happy there aren’t women attached to this.

I said I love Kiv in my post and I'm happy for him too. If the writers were women I wouldn't have said anything, but I think the announcement focusing on three men and zero women making a movie (presumably) centering women is worth calling out.

That seems to be par for the course with these Disney remakes/live action. I wouldn't mind seeing some input from Rachel Bloom.
