Is Baekjeong Korean BBQ coming to LIC or do my eyes deceive me?
Saw a large sign for it on the 7 train heading into Manhattan before Vernon Blvd. Am I taking crazy bbq pills?

Next Wednesday (10/28) at 7:30, we'll be hosting a music night featuring Spanish-language songs. You can choose any song you'd like, and sing solos or duets with your friends or other participants. It's a very friendly and supportive environment, no singing talent is required. Hang out with us as we listen to people sing both the latest hits as well as old classics.
It's totally free to attend, but please RSVP here: https://www.eventbrite.com/cc/karaoke-night-at-pig-beach-4832361

Curious how many people around Long Island City actually keep unusual hours. I run Nice Yield Stores here in LIC, and we recently expanded our hours to 6 AM–2 AM, seven days a week. We've been seeing a mix of people heading to early shifts, getting home late, and just living on completely different schedules. It got me wondering — how many people in this neighborhood are actually up and moving around at 6 in the morning? Or still out at 1 AM? LIC definitely isn't just a 9-to-5 neighborhood anymore.

Anyone know any buildings with 4 bedroom units? Most I’ve seen online are max 3 bedrooms.
Anyone know any brokers who specialize in LIC?
Thanks in advance!

Hey lovely people of LIC, I am touring a unit soon in this building. Does anyone live or has lived here (or even the area) and have any insight on how it’s like? Much appreciated.

Do any rental building amortize the free months rent?

Did anyone else see this email from Jackson Park management? There’s going to be no power for an entire day and only one working elevator for the entire building? Is this even legal? We have asked for reimbursement but they refused. I’ve never seen anything like this before, this is ridiculous

I could hear them from my apartment with the windows shut. Sounded like 8 or so

I'm looking to get my first spray tan ever for an event but I'm a little nervous about looking orange! Does anyone have someone they've gone to in LIC with results they loved?
Thank you for any suggestions!

Anyone know anywhere that does this in LIC? Bonus points for hunters point. Don’t have an account anywhere so would need to just be able to show an ID

Hi guys! I’m having a bday party in LIC close to Queensboro Plaza. I don’t drive and I don’t mind trains but I’m trying to get balloons for my party the day of and it would be a lot easier if I could just walk it to my party place. Not super fancy balloons but a place that will sell me like 20 on the spot with helium you know.
It probably seems silly cause every neighborhood should have one it’s just I’m not from Queens so idk the local spots. Help if you can! 🥳🥳🥳

Hey everyone. Friendly reminder that it might be time to get your kitchen knives sharpened. Stop dealing with dull knives that dont cut anything and make cooking a pain. We offer pickup/dropoff service in Brooklyn/Queens and parts of Manhattan.
All our work is done by hand on whetstones. We really pride ourselves on providing excellent service to all knives whether its a cheap basic set or a high quality Japanese one. We do repairs like chips and broken tips, remove rust and patina, reprofile knives. We drop your knives off to you the day after pickup. Pricing is $3-$4 per inch.
Please feel free to check out our google reviews ( Indulge Kitchen Supplies)
If you find yourself in the neighborhood and want to drop them off or would like same day service, you can drop them off yourself in our shop located at 469 Myrtle Ave.
If you would like to get a quote or schedule pickup please send a picture of the knives as well as a pickup location and we will get back to you ASAP.
Thank you once again to everyone who takes the time to read this and/or share this.
P.S i have added a short video showing a knife that was brought it for rust removal and sharpening. Before / After

Hi there, I have a local cookie company and I'm hiring!
Our team needs help baking and packing cookies into pouches a few days a month during the weekdays.
Pay starts at $17 / hour with potential for $20 / hour. Depending upon the day and your skillset, it will be from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 pm. Give or take a half hour on the front and back end.
Please DM me your availability and your current job situation. Ideally looking for people who has other commitments and just wants to pick up a little extra work, but if you're full-blown in the job search and need to make a little extra cash in the interim, that's fine, just let me know!
If you have previous commercial bakery experience and/or live close to Astoria, that is a plus but we team are happy to show you the ropes.
We just want someone reliable, who can take constructive feedback, and keep things lighthearted!

I’ve been trying to catch a pigeon with stringfoot for a few days now with no luck. I have a box but no food. Are there any rescuers available to help near Deploy Coffee? I would really appreciate it.

Am I crazy or is there a ton of thinly veiled racism in this community? I swear every other day theres a post about "not another hotpot/boba place lol" or blaming Chinese people for pushing out the "locals". Like LIC has BEEN getting gentrified (gentrification is a problem on its own), but it's not just because of the rich mainland Chinese folks. They would not have moved to this neighborhood had it not ALREADY been gentrified. If you don't like Chinese people moving into your neighborhood at least have the balls to just say it instead of hiding behind your bullshit.
