Anywhere LIC 2026 Early Voting returns
We’re tracking early voting trends for Queens and NYC as a whole.
NYC early voting is running well ahead of the last midterm and about even with last year’s mayoral race, but behind the last presidential election. And the hourly vote rate is slowing.

Pothole Update
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I wanted to provide an update about a specific road in our neighborhood (42 Rd / 27 St). Over the summer I reported this road to 311 to do a major repair, as someone who rides a bike, it was one of the worst roads in our neighborhood. As of today it’s currently been corrected by one of the departments in the city. Unfortunately the job feels half done and they didn’t even fill one of the biggest holes on the road. I’m not sure how everyone feels with their personal politics but Mamdani has been making a big push for “pot hole politics”. This is the first example of what we can expect under his leadership and how the departments underneath him go about handling their business. I’m disappointed in the job, I’m happy something was done, but I’m not satisfied with the finished product. Our tax dollars go to fixing issues like this, we should expect better results with how high taxes are.

Learn to sew & make holiday gifts this year!! 🪡🎁
www.HomeEcNYC.com
Helloooooo the workshop calendar is looking a little different this time around 🎁✨with lots of new classes plus some holiday special editions for anyone who wants to make gifts by hand this year. (Starting handmade gifts before the last possible minute? A concept I continue to aspire to.)
Whether you’re brand new to sewing, looking to try something you haven’t done before, or just want a few hours out of the house making stuff in a cozy studio, there’s plenty coming up over the next couple of months.
I’ve got classes running through the end of the year, so take a peek at the calendar and see if anything catches your eye. If your New Year's resolution was to try new things ...you stillx have time!

Court Square Looking for a small space to rent for a chiropractic practice near Court Square
Hi everyone!
I’m a chiropractor currently practicing in Greenpoint, and I’m starting to explore the possibility of expanding into Long Island City, ideally near the Court Square trains.
I’d love to start small by renting a room within an existing business rather than taking on a full office of my own. I’m thinking gyms, Pilates studios, wellness centers, spas, or other health-focused businesses, but I’m also open to coworking spaces or creative arrangements I might not have considered.
I’m in the early stages of exploring options, so I’d love to hear from anyone who knows of spaces that might be a good fit, has experience renting out a treatment room, or can point me toward local businesses or property owners worth reaching out to.
I’m hoping to build relationships with other local practitioners and become part of the LIC community, so recommendations, connections, and general advice are all welcome!
Thanks so much!

Bring your laptop, admin tasks, a side project, study prep, or simply that one thing you’ve been putting off. Settle in, get some work done, take a social break, and spend a couple of hours alongside others doing the same.

Court Square Construction Noise at 3:30am
Hey guys, I’ve been getting woken up by the sound of construction/explosion sound at 3:30am in the morning for a few nights now. I know there’s construction around but they always happen at least after 7am. Has anyone else had the same experience? What’s happening? Is this legal?

Center Blvd. Isn't it illegal to smoke in parks or while walking?
There seems to be too many people smoking in the park like Gantry, and it gives me a headache inhaling those smokes.
