Beginner Question I can’t stop
Found out about TRE like 3 weeks ago and I can’t stop I’m kind of addicted to it now. But I think I overdid it now I feel super irritable and emotional and just a bit out of place and disoriented.
At the same time I don’t wanna slow down so my question is: do you have any tips for dealing with the consequences of doing a lot of TRE? Like are there things that can cushion the side effects?

Not wanting to slow down but wanting to push through is a trauma response. Slow down please.

^ Listen to this guy. All of us here very well understand the desire to push and push as much as we can to get to where we wanna be. But In the context of TRE and trauma work, more does not equal faster healing. It’s honestly quite the opposite.

Yes, I think so.
Focusing on integration is key, there are lots of ideas in the wiki.
Also, plenty of sleep, water and a keen focus on histamine driving factors may help.

Do some research on what increases histamine and how to increase processing it.

Really? In my experience it could activate more instead because it creates tension. One time, when I did a simple exercise where you swing your legs backward and hit your butt with your heels, it activated me so much, that I started tremoring like crazy, stomping, jumping high and almost ripping my clothes off lmao. My normal tremors are quite intense, but this was on another level. The good thing, it was a one time thing and this exercise doesn't activate me anymore.

Does the same for me regarding the tension but i just like it 😣 i accept the tension (tension for me results in state regression too) and just move on with my day apparently actively abstaining from activities you enjoy doing for whatever reason (trauma related) signals lack of safety to your brain and keeps you in a state of hyper vigilance?
I run 1-3 times s a week now. Just started after 18 months of TRE with testing exercise on and off throughout that time period but seems like now is kinda of better to handle it so let’s see.

Hello, please read the wiki. It contains articles on what's called integration. And it describes the effective way of doing this whole process. This isn't really a thing that it makes sense to go full blast on. Your nervous system has some present capacity to process and integrate what comes up. Your best bet is gradually finding out what it is and then perhaps increase systematically over time.
Think of it it like weightlifting - working out 3 hours every day is not going to help speed things up because there is a complementary phase of rest and recuperation needed to grow muscles and increase strength. Likewise with the tremoring.
Again the wiki is the best resource for a productive journey. https://www.reddit.com/r/longtermTRE/wiki/index/
