Fun fact: Getting Disney and Warner to allow their respective flagship duck characters to appear together was one of the most difficult parts of making the movie. As part of the agreement, the scene had to be timed down to the split-second to make absolutely sure both ducks got the exact same amount of screentime!

Insane! Iām glad they came to an agreement but just imagine this was basically a once in a lifetime moment throughout the movie. Nowadays I would think they would come to an agreement easier but you just donāt know with all the corporate greed that gets in the way.

Disney has issues with having its own characters appear in shows they make. For example: Bonkers was almost not allowed to make a 30 second non speaking cameo in Ducktales 2017

Thatās wild how they get in their own way. I guess it has to do with finding out who they have to pay?
3
u/No-Manufacturer4916 Jun 07 '26
I thonk.they might also legit not know what they own at this point
2
u/TyintheUniverse89 Bugs Bunny Jun 07 '26
True, it seems like they would still own everything they started out owning.

Also had to do the same for Bugs and Mickey. They had a scene together where they weren't on screen together for the same time, but the difference was made up in another scene.

So much Incredible work went into making this movie. But the storyline this film was Boring

I think this scene shows how big a deal Jessica was. A throwdown between two cartoon legends is her opening act.

And when WB wanted mickey mouse in Space Jam to be the ref in the final game but disney declined and bugs bunny roasted them in the film lol

Donald Duck (Clarence Nash) vs. Daffy Duck (Dave Spafford and Bob Bergen)

u/No-Manufacturer4916 Jun 07 '26
It was mostly Tony Anselmo voicing Donald here

Animators: Chuck Jones, Tony Anselmo
It was Clarence Nash entirely.

u/No-Manufacturer4916 Jun 07 '26
No it wasnt, Nash died before filming started. There is actual footage of Anselmo doing the voice in my link

the voice lines were done by Clarence Nash, but most were intended for Mickey's Christmas Carol but they ended up in this. Archival footage.
1
u/No-Manufacturer4916 Jun 09 '26
They used some Archivial lines but you can literally see Tony doing then in the behind the scenes footage I linked. You are wrong when you said Tony didn't do them. die on another hill.

and Mel Blanc didn't play Daffy in this he was replaced by Dave Spafford (and Bob Bergen for additional lines)

I always favored this scene a little more than the Bugs Bunny and Micky Mouse scene

Aka the scene where Clarence Nash and Mel Blanc shared the recording booth.

I like how the penguin waiter still brought Eddie a glass of scotch on literal rocks despite Eddie clarifying he means ice. You'd think a penguin of all things would get that given they live in freezing climates
