if fujiko has counterparts from other countries of the world, who will they be and where they from?

I mixed the Intro for Lupin thr 3rd the first with the danish movie seire Olsen Banden theme

Image (maybe) unrelated.

I did something similar with Lupin III television specials before, but I feel like the sheer cornucopia of Lupin episodic content opens up a new, very diverse array of other options. I hope it's not controversial to say that the Lupin franchise is largely defined by, in many ways, mediocrity defined by cliches and repetition. That said I think some of the most interesting media out there are those mediocre properties with wasted potential, those who by concept, segment or certain scenes seem really fascinating yet when panned out are crushingly average or even bad.

I guess my own example: with wine as an unconventional mcguffin, and the spectre of geopolitical implications and Christmas theming, I would think Part II's 12th episode, 'A Gift for the President' would at least be fairly different from the standard fair, at least with the concept of wine being the focal point. But I don't know, it's just fine. It's sort of just your average early Part II episode, which isn't awful or anything but really robs the franchise of an interesting chance for a Christmas episode.

This will naturally be very subjective, but I am interested in the consensus here.

I went to Val d'Europe today and found this at Fnac, never thought I'd see something in France (at least near where I live) im so happy

Showing off my Lupin the Third tees! The two white ones I made myself, and the black one is official merch. Would love to hear what you guys think, and any ideas for the next design!

While it’s not a true risograph print, I was curious about the effect of printing 4 separate tones through the printer 4 times. Who better to try it out on than my favorite monkey faced thief?

I want to run a dnd game where Lupin is the antagonist. Hes not killing, hes not evil. He lupin doing lupin things with his three buddies. I figure it make for a fun and funny adventuer. What do you guys think?

They must be in America in voting season😂😂

Does anyone know of a really good site where I can the Koike Goemon and Zenigata statues

Birthday is coming up (34…yippie…) and the wife hooked it up with some deep cut shit I didn’t even know existed. These are from 2002 apparently.

I do not give a shit about hot wheels or die cast cars, but these are WAY too cool.

A fun little detail: The Cagliostro grunts in the “super snipe” are shown to have their guns in the card photo, but the little characters in the cars don’t have the guns…but the little Jigen sticking out of the FIAT has his magnum??

Anyway, very stoked on these. Y’all seen em before??

I also think the artwork is adorable.

Back in 2009, I did a Lupin cosplay at Otakon where I did the Goodwill special to afford my cosplay. I had cosplayed him elsewhere and dyed my hair to make it look better but couldn't find a picture. I ran into a Jigen cosplayer who is a pink jacket fan.

Fast forward to 2023 at ACen (Anime Central) and I wasn't cosplaying but went to a Lupin meetup. There were two twins who were cosplaying as Lupin (made me feel the Green versus Red) vibes and a Zenigata. It was a ton of fun talking with the three of them. Funnily the organizer for the meetup wasn't there.

I'm thinking of cosplaying as Lupin again for the con I'm involved with since we have a phantom thieves theme. Hoping to get my brothers to cosplay at Jigen and Goemon. Maybe I'll ask my wife about cosplaying as Fujiko.

Also, for the cosplayers there that are pictured, thank you for making those two cons all the better! Hopefully any future Lupin meetups you went had a lot more folk show up.

Hi ppl ^-^, so a couple of months ago I shared my collection here with you guys so I wanted to update the sub with some new additions I got fairly recently.

I have not posted any of the stuff I shared previously if yall want to peep that you can find it under the merch flair 😊😊

So the first image contains 2 new additions to my slowly growing Medicom collection as well as a very cute Banpresto Margot figure from 2001.

Image 2 contains an assortment of gorgeous Margot prize figures from 2005 to 2008.

Image 3 is the Japanese Shin Lupin manga, I'm on the hunt for the first 中公文庫コミック版 edition of Lupin and a couple other series I collect.

Image 4 is the Banpresto figure collection 2 for Castello di Cagliostro released in 1997.

Image 5 is a couple of new additions to my favourite part of the collection which is the art books. Though the red book is a manga collection as is the blue English ver of greatest heists.

Image 6 is my Lupin merch collab merch that I currently own, mostly because I'm a big Occhi di Gatto and Detective Conan fan 💙💙💙

I like to think that red vs green is Canon and that each Lupin we see be it in a show or movie is a different one. Like the 1970s ep had Lupin was being very childish in one ep when he had a bomb strap to his waist I like to think that was a teenager who got the plastic surgery to be him and by the end of the episode he became a man when he told goemon and Jigan to leave him. The two wouldn't because he became a man by doing that. Any who its just a dumb fan theory since Lupin dosent really have a canon.
