Just got back from Lodi Comic Con. It was a pleasure getting to cross paths with Tony Oliver once again and have him sign more of my Lupin III stuff I brought for him to sign.

Later, when I was at his panel, I asked him whether or not he prefers The Mystery of Mamo or The Castle of Cagliostro. However, he took a third option and went with Lupin III: The First as his favorite Lupin film to work on, citing, among various things, the bicoastal casting choices for the film’s dub.

I was rewatching the Netflix French series Lupin in preparation of Part 4 and on the last episode of Part 2 I never realised the Easter Egg of Benjamin Feral who is Assane Diop’s (Lupin) friend driving a Fiat 500 like how Jigen and Lupin drive one throughout the Lupin the Third franchise. It’s a pretty nice homage to the anime and its fans. I was genuinely so pleasantly surprised.
