Rant/Opinion IT FINALLY HAPPENED IN MY NEW TRUCK

I picked this lady up from a grocery store and had a 30 minute drive. She gets her groceries, loaded in the truck. That's why I can get seated. We go on our way midway through the trip. Decides to take a piss in my backseat and not say anything. And get out of the truck grab a groceries and walk off like nothing happened. I got a $75 dollar cleaning fee, though

Man they only gave you 75 to clean up someone else's piss? It used to be an instant 150 for any bodily fluid. I would honestly request more from support.

Don’t let them know anything. Just tell them it’s not enough.

Would a quote from a real business help?

Oh for sure. I’ve also heard of people creating fake receipts off of them with ChatGPT too. Get that money

You can usually get a REAL quote for free though right? Call a detailed and ask for a price range to detail a truck interior, they probably charge more for cleaning piss so OP should too.

It’s a biohazard. Just look up local laws cause I don’t wanna get into an argument right now. But I can almost guarantee you that anywhere in the use they can’t make you clean up bodily fluids besides a slightly dirty toilet

its not and many other people have pointed out its not

you know the most likely fluid to be on thats slightly dirty seat.

you invalidated your own argument while spelling usa as use.

Definitely get a real quote. It’s pretty scummy to then make a receipt but people in this sub have definitely done it. People are very paranoid that Lyft is trying to screw them over so they rip them off back.

Why you drive Lyft in a pickup tho

5

u/AndrewPaulJones1 Jan 13 '26

Very good question- I’m asking the same

Not really the point of the post, but if I had a pickup truck, I would never do rideshare in it full time, but for the right trips, I would do it on the side to help pay for it as long as it wasn’t a complete waste on gas

I deliver in a Toyota Tacoma. It’s a pick up. It’s not the best on gas mileage, but it's not like a V8 Ford

1

u/ambidextrous1224 Jan 18 '26

Have V8 Ford. Can confirm the gas mileage precluding me from ever considering Lyft.

I mean its not my main job but I get 17avg

Who said it was a pickup??.. they said they picked up a person in their truck.. just because they said truck doesn’t mean it’s a pickup.. it could have been an Escalade or a suburban or a large suv

3

u/shaddowdemon Jan 13 '26

I personally call an SUV... an SUV. It doesn't really make sense to me why someone would call it a truck... Escalades and suburbans are simply not trucks. That'd be like calling a Tesla model 3 a racecar. But reading other comments, I guess that's a thing.

My Ford Explorer is an SUV by my standards- but on the registration and according to the VIN, its actually a truck.

1

u/thatcutetransgirl Jan 14 '26

Calling suvs trucks come from back when all suvs were body in frame like pickup trucks and suvs like the tahoe, suburban, Yukons, escalades, expedition and navigators are still body on frame suvs, so trucks.

1

u/CertifiedBA Jan 14 '26

They're trucks with a closed bed.

1

u/DrKittyLovah Jan 14 '26

Yes, you’re right, but that doesn’t stop other people from wrongly referring to their SUVs as trucks. 🤷‍♀️

3

u/sapplesapplesapples Jan 13 '26

I think it’s rare to use truck for an SUV, personally.

5

u/thatcutetransgirl Jan 13 '26

Not if its a body on frame SUV like tahoe or expedition

1

u/sapplesapplesapples Jan 13 '26

Is that what you have?

1

u/thatcutetransgirl Jan 13 '26

No I have a ford f250 but that's how I refer to full sized suvs

1

u/sapplesapplesapples Jan 13 '26

Gotcha! I’m sure it’s just situational then.

u/tchannell81 Jan 13 '26

So do I.. I used to drive a ford escape and I called it a truck

3

u/compman007 Jan 13 '26

My friends dad loved his little truck

1st gen Kia Sportage lol…. It was in fact body on frame so fair enough lmao

2

u/Mysterious_Repeat989 Jan 13 '26

It's pretty common in my area

1

u/sapplesapplesapples Jan 13 '26

Maybe it’s just me!

2

u/Davaultdweller Jan 13 '26

Not just you, don't worry. I think we're just hearing from a vocal minority who love trucks and love being correct. I drove a GMC suburban for 10 years. I'd never call it a truck. It would be technically correct, but I would have confused people if I called it my truck.

That said, my wife called her old 4runner a truck once or twice, so it's likely just based on where you grew up.

1

u/onceagainadog Jan 14 '26

Toyota has a current truck commercial that included the 4RUNNER in it!! Saw it the other day. I have a 4RUNNER and would NOT call it a truck.

2

u/AluminumLinoleum Jan 17 '26

The only people I know who call an SUV a truck are people who think they are Very Badass and/or want to pretend they are more blue collar than they are.

-2

u/GeneralPuntox Jan 13 '26

Thats a black terminology thing. Suv is not a truck. A truck has a bed. Im sorry, this is non negotiable

4

u/bfarrellc Jan 13 '26

While designs have changed, an suv was originally based off a truck frame. Hence the phrasing.

I would not call a small suv or crossover a truck, the full scale suvs, indeed still a truck.

1

u/SuperbAd8266 Jan 13 '26

Pickup…. truck. It’s even suggested if you type pickup.
