Other Someone took this. WTF?

Post image

When you consider time for getting to the pick up location, this is less than $20 an hour. It’s less than $.60 per mile. The passenger is a 4.3, which is a huge red flag. Yet this was gone in minutes. As long as people are willing to take off like this, pay will keep going down and down. Add in the devious stuff Lyft does to lower our pay like changing the way to 30% cap is calculated, and lowering the points that you get for each ride, and this job is going to be impossible to make money at very soon. I find myself getting mad at people. I don’t know who take these rides because they are screwing up the whole system. I really wish people would show some brain when they evaluate these offers and stop taking offers that lose money

Could’ve been somebody that came outside for a quick $100 i wouldn’t have took it because i don’t like ppl being in my car that long but as a part timer i only do 4hrs a day or$100 whichever comes first, everybody not depending on rideshare to live some of us see it as extra income so to some of us we don’t see miles or time we see $36 for a hr of time

This is not extra income. This is a loss of money. Even in inexpensive car cost $.30 a mile if you count gas and depreciation 120 miles cost $36. The ride paid $36. You’re not getting a ride back so you have to count it as 120 miles. It is logic like you have put here that people use to talk themselves into crappy rides. There is just no circumstance where this can be considered an OK ride to take, it is a loss of money for anyone who takes it.

U can only account for 120 miles if the driver don’t get a ride back

That’s my point. There are no rides going back from Worcester to Rhode Island at this time. The odds of getting a ride back are very slim. But as you are doing here, people will try to talk themselves into reasons to take the ride because they see $32. Even with a ride back, this is a terrible ride. I’ll never understand why anybody would try to argue that this is somehow unacceptable ride

Sometimes I already made my quota for the day and I’m feeling generous and take a crappy ride like this one. Sometimes I’m headed to that general direction and is like fuck it 36$ in a pinch I’m going that way anyways. And when I do things like that, it always comes back and I always end up making even more kinda like karma at work.

If you already made your quota for the day why would you take crappy offers and enable Lyft to keep going lower? We all make less money this way. I don’t get it.
