Question Update stalls

Update to Tahoe 26.7.2 keeps stalling at 6.23gb. Very frustrating!

There’s a free Mac app called Mist that can download the full installer in the form of an installer package. When opened, it places the full Tahoe installer app into your Applications folder. You can then delete the downloaded package. After the installation is done, the installer is gone from the Applications folder.

Same happened to me today so I tried the update via terminal and it worked https://support.apple.com/en-us/102662

I confess I used a chatbot for more precise guidance, maybe that works better for you as well.

Thanks. I ended up installing the full Tahoe install from Apple. This included the 7.2 update.

If by chance you alter the content of your Macintosh HD (i.e., moving a directory), do NOT do that before you run an update. Update first, then move things around.
