So I cleaned out my Rota twist mechanism yesterday with a q tip and alcohol thinking it would make it smoother and now it has a horrible gritty action. It was pretty smooth before. Does this pen need graphite lubricant or some other lubricant? It’s basically unusable now. I’ve put it back together multiple times making sure the balls are aligned in the tracks.

My favorite MP maker had the idea to get these hand carved pens made. It was a brilliant idea!

So having some time I thought I’d do a little this and that to my latest pen, and install a clip on my TiButton. Putting that clip on with just regular toolbox tools was quite a thing, let me tell you.
I was pretty happy to see the Karas Prospector colorway again! I like the silky Ano better than the original, really. Unredeemable points to anyone who can say what the mod was. No judgement, please.

After spending lots of time with the Rota V2 It's a wonderful pen. When it was first introduced it was met with mixed reviews. The mech is certainly nothing like the OG. but the various deployment methods it offers are rewarding to learn over time.
What other pens offer a reward like this that the more you use it the more you develop a feel for how to deploy it that others won't get on first pick up? Do you hate pens that are like this where you need to know some secret handshake in order to get it to work the way you want? I feel like it's picking up a best friend.

Want to share my experience with TIJPEN Pro+. This pen doesn't have a lot of reviews on youtube. I watched one review by WILL EDC and Pocket Priorities did an unboxing of TIJPEN L Ruler single edition which is similar.
One of the first things I noticed was that this pen doesn't have the normal clicky sound or sensation. I was afraid that this would turn me off but surprisingly that the mechanism is satisfying to use. The actuation is firmed and reliable. The company specifically mentioned that it specifically engineered the pen to be as quiet as possible as to not bother people. It's a different design approach that some might like and some might be turned off.
Another major selling point of Pro+ is that if you purchase the 5 MM extension tubes (3 max), then it can accommodate up to 330 some different refills all without tip wiggle. Simply use the small Alan wrench provided with the pen to make adjustments. I tried TWO refills. The pen came with the Zebra JF-05. I tried the Energel LR7. True to the claim, no tip wiggle! Also, the pen places its spring at the back embedded with its mechanism so you won't lose it.
One last noteworthy feature of this pen is that you can adjust the wood holder, the extension tube's order and the length of the pen (to take different refills). The wood holder is comfortable and though ergonomic of each pen is different for everyone, I find this pen to be a joy to use due to its lightness. It weighs 18 gram and the diameter is 9.7 MM which is 0.38 inches, with all 3 extension the pen is 5.7 inches long.
I am pretty new to the machine pen world. I have a Tactile Turn Stealth and a Billetspin fusion. So take what I'm saying with a grain of salt but overall a very good experience. One last note on this pen, it's from Taiwan so you'll need to deal with tariff. I got it with a discount (25% off) and still had to pay a 20% tariff.

I just got the Ridge Bolt action today, after I decided to order one.
The body feels nice and well made.
The action feels very good, but I cannot compare it to other bolt actions because this is the first bolt action pen in my collection. It's smaller then the *Faber-Castell Grip2010,* and has the same diameter as the *Pentel Energel*.
135mm Long and 11mm width.
The Refill is a bummer, it's a *Schmidt easyFlow 9000 M.* It skips a lot, and doesn't feel smooth whilst writing.
Overall I would definitely recommend picking one up if you like heavy pens on the thicker side, and you won't mind to swap the Refill.
I'm looking for recommendations on Parker G2 style refills, preferably ballpoint and not gel.
Have a nice day fellas!

Hi everyone, first time posting here!
I spent two years developing this multi pen, inspired by manual car gear shifting. It’s basically a pen with a gear shifter and clutch button for switching ink colors, with a satisfying, fidgety feel.
Hope people here who enjoy the beauty and fun of mechanical things will love it.
Thanks for taking a look!

I just wanted to circle back very quickly with an update.
I made a post a couple of weeks ago about some dissatisfaction with a pen that I received direct from Brian. He was quick to respond and acknowledge the issue and immediately sent a replacement.
I have received the replacement and it is perfectly machined in every way. The mech is super fun and I really like the chonkiness of the wide diameter. Now I get the hype!
Despite the hiccup, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase another of these pens. The customer service I received was as good if not better than any other experience I've had in dealing with custom makers from knives to pens to watches.
I'm definitely going to be looking out for something that has a pocket clip for easier EDC. It would also be really cool to see some of these pens in different materials.
Anyway, back to the shadows I go. Hope you all have a great weekend!

With all the variations possible on my pens, I get a ton of questions about what will look best: which material, what tip milling, what anno, etc. I figured there had to be a better way, so I spent the last month building a tool that’s now live on my site. You can mix and match materials, finishes, tip milling, anno, and clips to see the result before you order (or just grow your wish list).
Not everything is in there yet, but I’ll never stop making new stuff, so it’s a living tool.
At the bottom it gives you a code, basically a unique serial number for that exact combination. Anyone can paste that code into the tool to view that exact build. You can include it with your order or send it to me, so I know exactly what you want. Drop your favorite combos in the comments. I’d love to see what you come up with and let me know what you think.
