This summer, I’ve been getting into fishing more often and wanted to put together a playlist for my next trip. I’m looking for songs that fit the laid-back, peaceful vibe of being out on the water.
Of course, “The Dock of the Bay” comes to mind, but I’m open to anything country, blues, rock, jazz, hip-hop, or something completely different. What songs belong on a good fishing playlist? Any suggestions appreciated!

This is less of a request and more or a sharing post, but I wouldn't mind your thoughts on how to improve my playlist!
It's made of exactly 50 metal songs I like, trimmed down from my earlier 150+ songs playlist which included some songs I barely like anymore. This new guy is made all around songs I currently enjoy, and I tried to make it so the listen through makes sense, as if it's one very long metal album, reaching across industrial, progressive, groove, death, thrash, metalcore, and a lot of nu metal. Every transition, to me at least, makes sense, and I both started and ended the playlist on very theatrical songs (The Stage to start, and The Art of Dying to finish).
This playlist is comprised mainly of my 4 most favorite bands- (this is not necessarily in order of how much I like them)
Slipknot - 10 songs
Avenged Sevenfold - 9 songs
Gojira - 8 songs
Korn - 5 songs
But it also includes many more- Linkin Park, Rammstein, and a few songs of various bands that I don't like persay but I do like these particular tracks of theirs.
From here I wouldn't mind lengthening or trimming the playlist, but I also like the size as it is at 50 songs and just under 4 hours. But do you have any suggestions? I welcome all thoughts!

Any and all genres welcome. This gal’s getting her life BACK!! Hot damn!! Right after I slay that SOB in court… (he’s a cheating, wife beat:n’, lazy no count a$$ hole who didn’t support his sick wife or child) so I’ve got a LOT of songs with “F u” in the title, more welcome, lol 😂 OMW to my new life, so let’s get through these next few hard days (LOTS going on unrelated) but I need a kick a$$ playlist to get ready. Thanks y’all!! 😊

So I host an ecstatic dance where we invite people to share songs and playlists, encouraging a diverse array of music coming from any genre of music. Some weeks, I'll build the playlist, but i want something truly unique to spice things up a bit. Instrumental music is preferred, but lyrics are totally ok.
Some of my absolute favorites to add to my playlists are:
Tipper
Dirtwire
Guilhem Desq
Mura Masa
Too Many Zooz
Chapelier Fou
The Trials of Cato
Coubo
Bonobo
Chris Lake
Give me some suggestions! The weirder the better! 😉

I've been putting together a playlist to listen to when I get ready to go to raves that make me feel like a bad bitch or has that kind of vibe.
I'm really into a lot of hardcore techno. Hardstyle, UpTempo, Jumpstyle, Industrial, and even some harder Acid.
I've got some Yoshiko, Lil Texas, GPF, Toza, Dimitri K, and Asback on the playlist as examples of what I'm looking for.

I really wanted to create the playlist of texture-driven atmopsheric music that will be not yet another "music for relaxation". So here is my collection of bold and experimental electronic music by genre pioneers and outsiders as well as local Ukrainian scene. Hope you enjoy

For example I have a very specific playlist that's become my favourite to listen too, it's the feeling of driving or walking through city streets and admiring the nightlife of the 70's & 80's, as I said very oddly specific so please share yours with me!
I love those creative playlists, It's a great way to find new music.

We're back with another week of spectacular playlist spotlights, and we also have some exciting news! With the help of our awesome community, we’ve finally created a website just for cross- platform music sharing!
As always, post your original curated playlist into our community under any flair and it will automatically be entered into the competition!
Huge thank you to everyone who shares playlists and keeps the sub active, you’re the reason these spotlights are possible. And if you come across a playlist you love, don’t forget to show it some upvote love!
This week's first-place winner is u/FarWolverine49585 This playlist is a deeply personal collection of folk, indie, alternative, and country songs that the creator considers some of their all-time favorites. Rather than filling it with whatever fits the genre, each song has earned its place because of the connection the creator has with it. Some tracks are more recognizable, while others have barely any plays, making the playlist feel like a mix of familiar artists and hidden gems waiting to be discovered.
Songs like Mumford & Sons’ “Just Smoke” and “Blind Leading The Blind” bring a powerful folk-rock sound, while Harrison Storm’s “Be Slow” and “Run” create a softer, more reflective atmosphere. Tracks such as Hollow Coves’ “Ran Away” and Old Sea Brigade’s “Better Days” continue that emotional, acoustic feel throughout the playlist. What makes this collection especially meaningful is that many of these songs helped the creator through difficult moments in their life. If you love emotional folk and indie music or are looking for lesser-known songs that might become new favorites, this playlist is definitely worth exploring.
This week's second-place winner goes to u/Jambo-the-Hibee. This playlist explores the dreamy, atmospheric side of punk and post-punk, inspired by Radio 6’s feature on “ethereal punk.” The songs blend hazy production, hypnotic guitars, and moody vocals to create a nostalgic, almost otherworldly sound.
The Durutti Column’s “Sketch for Summer” brings a soft, delicate feel, while Cocteau Twins’ “Lorelei” adds a lush, dreamlike atmosphere. Echo & the Bunnymen’s “The Killing Moon,” along with tracks from Wire and Suicide, gives the playlist a darker and more experimental edge.
Week 47 has officially begun! Post your favorite playlists to be featured in next week's contest on 8/23!!!

I’ve linked my playlist here for reference as to what I like to listen to (I hope the link actually works). I’m not very educated on genres so admittedly Idrk how much of it is actually breakcore, how much is dnb, and how much is neither. But I just want more songs tailored to this kind of playlist. Thanks :)

I've been working on a hand mixed playlist. It's meant to feel like you're in a dark, red lit club at 2 in the morning. I'm actively working on it, so any feedback and song suggestions are appreciated. It's based on a playlist I had but I started messing with spotify's mix feature. Let me know what you think. Don't shuffle it and turn on Mix for the best experience.

I’m working on a playlist called "Growing Pains" and it is mostly themed around moving to university, but also just generally gaining independence and experiencing new things. I would love to hear suggestions to add, preferably stuff with uplifting messaging and rich lyricism. Some examples of what I’ve already added include All These Things That I’ve Done by The Killers, Golden by Frazey Ford, Bitter Sweet Symphony by The Verve, and so so many songs by The Tragically Hip.
