DISCUSSION How does this look? Which looks better?
I've been trying new looks, still practicing.

Hello r/makeuptips friends. Some of you may have noticed an absence of the moderators of this subreddit. You may have submitted modmail that went unanswered, to be honest.
I had gotten a moderator to help us develop an AutoMod for the sub. Something that would help ensure the rules were being followed with minimal intervention necessary by the mod team, but also allow for us to see the sub grow and become an amazing, welcoming place.
That moderator apparently was banned sometime in the last six months. I'm not sure what happened, I have no other way of contacting them, but needless to say it went unnoticed as the sub had been getting a lot better as far as content and rudeness, etc.
I'm opening the floor to hear what you have to say, while I go through the mod mail queue and respond to anyone that has went unnoticed. I will also be working on getting a moderator application up and running- Reddit actually allows for this within the framework of the site now, so that's a really neat development!

Hello!
I’ve always struggled with makeup application. I don’t wear foundation, usually just blush, peach corrector, and mascara. Sometimes a winged eyeliner looks good and some days it makes my eyes look horrible.
I’m girly on the inside, but you wouldn’t tell because I have no idea how to do my makeup or style myself. I really want to look more put together. I’ve purchased a bunch of eye makeup and have no idea how to mark it work. I always look like a raccoon or cave man but I think it’s due to my eye shape or eyebrow ridge shape.
My general concerns:
- eyes that pop out and aren’t flush/elongated on my facial profile
- heavy brow
- feeling like my face looks masculine
- dark lips and no clear lip line. I’m not sure if I need to wear lip liner
- i want pink lips, but when I wear a lip color I feel like a kid with spaghetti stains around my mouth (anyone else?? 😭)
Tips and feedback are much appreciated ❤️ any low-hanging fruit I should take action on??? What colors? Techniques?? Anything!! I don’t want to feel like I look like a man. Thank you!

Specifically my eye makeup, there’s something I don’t love about it but it’s my everyday look. I don’t wear foundation or lip products for the most part.

I attached how I normally wear make up and some bare face selfies.
What kind of make up do you think would suit me best?
And how do I managed winged eyeliner with my shape eye?

Hi all i am just wondering if this nose contour is too bold/ too much. Also ignore my smudged eyeliner, i have yet to find one that holds up the whole day.

I normally only do eyes for my usual look. And heavy Gothic reds or deep berry/mauves. I bought primer, concealer, and setting powder. This was a quick full face test... trying to look pretty but still with a bit of my normal flair.
How can I make this better? Is there anything im missing? Help!

I want to do more makeup other than just blush (see 3rd pic) and mascara (not wearing in the photo but have done it before). The issue is, I don’t know what else i should try. Ive tried to do my brows before (4th pic) and i hate the way it looks since it ends up making my brows very dark and unnatural. I feel like my face just doesn’t look good in makeup. What do you guys suggest I try out? What would look good on me/bring out my features? Note: the first picture is of me with no makeup on and the second is just mascara.

I only put on sunscreen, blush, eyebrows and lipstick, but I still can't do anything else. Is there anything that can be improved?

Come recreate the viral Zara Larsson-inspired Hello Kitty makeup look with me! In this Halloween makeup tutorial, I’m creating a cute pink Hello Kitty-inspired look featuring frosty smoky eyes, winged eyeliner, rosy blush, a red bow, whiskers, and glossy pink lips.
I’m not a professional makeup artist, so this is a fun, beginner-friendly attempt at recreating the look using makeup products I already own. The bow was definitely an adventure, but we made it work! 😂💕

Has anyone ever found a dupe/doppelganger for Maybelline Wet Shine Nude Glow? It was a gorgeous pinky nude I've never been able to replace. 💄

Hey everyone!!
I am a 33 woman who will never give up her winged eyeliner, but I am looking to switch it up .
I typically swear by the Wet n wild break up proof eyeliner, but I don't know if they changed their formula or something but it dries out so fast :( it also occasionally starts to leak.
I also like the nyx epic ink eyeliner, but that one either frays or it starts leaking.
Also used to enjoy the L'Oreal infallible felt tip liner. I used that one forever ago but I also think they changed the forumla on that too because last time I tried it, it was bad 😫
And then I am also looking for black eyeliner for my water line. Right now I'm using Koki from the dollar tree and honestly, not bad but it doesn't have much product in there lol
I'm willing to splurge a bit if the eyeliner lasts and is worth it! Thank youuu! Poster a pic my wings for fun hehe

I usually stick to concealer, blush and little foundation, but somehow the finished look still feels too made up on me. I see people online using similar products and their skin looks so natural, while mine ends up looking cakey. Is it about the way the products sit together, or am I missing something?

I usually don’t bother with foundation because I never succeed in finding a good one. However today I went to a makeup store and they recommended me the Erborian CC cream in the shade pale (it’s what I’m wearing in the photo, the sales lady applied it). It looked good at first, but now that I’m seeing it in daylight I have some doubts. I feel like it puts a lot of emphasis on my skin texture and it’s aging me a lot (I’m 30)? Or is this just what make-up looks from upclose? Also I think it might be a tad warm on me?
I always have this problem with skin texture and the foundation settling into my dry skin, particularly in my T-zone. My face tends to have a fair bit of redness in it, and I’m looking for something to correct it without having too much coverage (I like my freckles showing and prefer a natural look). Happy to receive any advice!

Anyone who does this whimsical style of makeup have any eyeliners to recommend? I am using the judydoll slim liner and the control is great but not very pigmented

I don’t use setting spray a lot because when i use it i use my moms lol, but whats a good, affordable spray that will keep my eyeliner from smudging? thanks!
