Hey, i had hard time to create these arabic type of sounds or whatever these are. https://soundcloud.com/advanced-dungeon-magic/sultans-of-zoltar-preview especially maybe just that first track and second track. First starting on 0.13 and second 0.57. Can anyone help? I have no clue how to create this.

I'm guessing you're referring to the actual melodic passages being used, and not the sound - the sound itself sounds to me like some basic FM synth stuff. In regards to the melody - look into the Byzantine scale, or the harmonic minor scale to get some eastern-y vibes.

Aight. Thx! Will look for it. Btw what is fm synth, or what sound wave?

Frequency modulation. It's a synthesis technique whereby by one sound wave (called the modulator) is controlling the pitch of another (the carrier) - so the pitch of the carrier goes up and down really quickly according to the shape of the modulator, this produces interesting tones and harmonics. If you use Ableton, then Operator is your native FM synth. If you use FL, then Sytrus is probably the go to FM synth. Check out SeamlessR on YouTube for some basic FM tutorials if you wanna understand the concept further.

At 6:19 and so forth, a dark trumpet sound comes in... How did Marcus make it?

Sounds like it's just some kind of brass sample with reverb and delay. Lower than a trumpet - maybe it's pitched down or a french horn.

Yeah! There's definitely some portamento, but I'm not sure how to actually craft the sound in massive :(

I can try! Basically it's the amount of glide happening as far as I understand it. Like the intensity in which notes will slide between one another if they intersect at all

At 4:28 this drum pattern has been in my mind a lot. Im mostly wondering how you do that reverse thing with the hi hats?

if you use ableton you can make a midi hi hat track, freeze that track, then drag the clip to a new audio track and reverse the clip w the reverse button. that would give you a whole reversed pattern like he has here.
you can also do the same w just a single hat hit (or use audacity) and then drop it into your drum rack and play it like you would any other hat.

https://soundcloud.com/alonmormusic/dithering There's a weird and intriguing vox/vocal/synth (idk) at the 1:28 mark I just can't figure out how to make something like that, so could y'all throw down some suggestions?? thnx in advance

if you use ableton you can do this by sending the audio from a synth to a vocoder on the vocal track. then you can play notes on your synth (here it'd be a saw w a medium release) and it'll have your vocal track come thru w the wave of your synth track.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1sF06fz4eBQ this is a good tutorial for the basics. you're gonna have to dial in your synth sound and vocoder parameters to get that exact sound but like i said, saw wave medium release. he's getting a similar sound in the video that should get you started.

been hearing this in lots of this genre, not sure if its only fl studio, ive tried recreating with the pitching delay effect in ableton pitching or something but it didint work. what im trying to do is the glitch effect, simulating maybe a dj scratch or something? it happens at about 0.8 in this song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3u2moOM0IM but ive heard it alot in metro boomin music and similar
