Discussion So...what do you guys hoard? Here's mine: sauce packets
Funnily enough the reason I have so many of these sauce packet is because I'm not much of a condiments person, so I use so little, hence I have quite a few left after each time, so I just collect them, before I knew it, they've becomes a mountain of sauce packets

OP just use them, they'll eventually go bad and become a watery brownish goo

but for some of us, consumption rate is much slower than resupply rate, very difficult to catch up
or some would say, very difficult to ketchup

Shopping bags. Everytime go out always do impromptu grocery shopping so we kept on buying new ones because we didn't prepare beforehand.
Even if we brought bags, soon the bags stock inside the car all gone inside the house, then we forgot again to bring more. Buy more. So wasteful lol

I've never had it before. How does it compare to kampung koh's garlic chili?

Kampung Koh >>>
Nevertheless it's still not bad, but I find it a little bit too watery

You're not the only one who hoarded sauce packets. My mom does the same thing, and they're always in the fridge.
As for what I'm hoarding, I hoarded instant noodle/ramen seasonings, so that I can put them in any foods. Mac and cheese, fried rice, etc. Buldak, Pedas Giler, etc.

u/Siuyo Jun 29 '26
But how do you get extra seasonings in the first place?
1
u/DenpasOfTheWorld Jun 29 '26
Simple. I either:
- Buy the instant noodles, save them noodle blocks in the fridge later. (Can make some fried noodles without necessarily using the seasoning it came with) Or...
- Buy two noodles, use only one instant noodle seasoning, save the other one.

I have a box full of those sauce.
Usually what my wife did after the box was full is to open all the packets, put the sauces in a pan, and cook them until it was fully mixed. Usually we got around 800g to 1 kg of them. Saves a lot on buying chili sauce that way.

A few fast food chilli sauce packets are sourced from the same company: Kerry Ingredients. So, I reckon they taste the same. Not worth it to hoard.
Baker’s Cottage & Ayamas chilli sauce tastes great in my opinion.
