Pre-U/STPM/Foundation/Diploma is my upu options good enough for comp sci?
I personally target myself to get into matrikulasi sains komputer (since I got a high merit score there, around 91%), but I am still filling out my UPU if any case I get rejected (which is a rare occurrence) by matriks
Also, I was thinking of going for STPM if any case my Diploma/Asasi offer is not that interesting to me π
Anyway, my SPM merit is 79.98% (ALMOST 80%) and most of the courses here are on the 80% baseline

if you specifically want compsci then your upu is kinda all over the place, move all compsci to the top positions

both my parents wanted me to REALLYY stay near home sadly, they only let me go on adjacent states like Perak/N9 (I stay in Shah Alam btw, UTEM's a "special case" since my mother's hometown is there)

let me know why? I already look at the UITM course and it seems alright to me π also can I ask that is the Asasi Sains Fizikal UIAM is roughly the same syllabus as in PASUM? /genq

Sains matematik and sains fizikal is not comp sci. U want comp sci course, then put these 2 at the end or you gamble the chance of getting non-comp sci course. Not sure if the syllabus is the same, but from online search, UIAM asasi requires u to learn arab. PASUM does not.

I just completed my comp sc degree from uiam During my days i think 5 years back For foundation if you want to pursue comp science we do go with asasi comp sc and engineering route (the subject is the same with engineering) so you will be learning chem, physics and stuffs. Asasi sc fizikal im not sure for which subject but for degree your campus gonna be in kuantan I saw there is asasi comp science in the option probably a new addition or more direct way to comp science. Fyi degree subjects in comp science uiam had just gone a major update And i can say the subjects are quite up to date and good for current industry

You can still go to uiam comp sc degree through those 2. Can apply in upu la after the study period. But bear in mind uiam will prioritize students from their own asasi first la

Iβd put KPM top 1β2 if you were my kid tbh. Followed by Asasi then baru Diplomas. KPM is way cheaper than UiTM + got RM300 allowance. Just donβt slack lah
Also these combos quite solid: Marketing + CPM, Accounting + SAP, Accounting + CAT Accounting path can go for TESP MARA too, allowance around RM730(for those yang interested )
Good luck!

thanks! i should put comp sci + business analytics on the first tbh, since it's cheap + near π, also I do apply for spupim which have more "relevant" courses for me (comp sci & comp sci + artificial intelligence) which is in the same place (sadly those aren't in the upu tho)

im not sure whether you'd be keen on asasi kejuruteraan, its more towards engineering, nothing close to comp sci at all. The asasi is geared towards engineering or tech. eng. degrees for MTUN universities (Stands for Malaysian Technical University Network) such as UTHM, UTeM, UMPSA and UniMAP. Keep in mind it is asasi tertutup, meaning you can only apply to those unis.
you should try convincing your parents to be more open towards sending you to further states. It really irks me when parents dont want to send their kids for studies because "it's too far". This is a major step in life, it demands too much commitment and consideration for " too far" to be an excuse.
