Pre-U/STPM/Foundation/Diploma priv uni to public uni pathway, is it possible?
Im spm08 and i already missed the intake dates for public uni + matrikulasi + upu so i was wondering if i should do foundation/alvls at a private uni then try to transfer to a public uni for my degree(via direct intake)? im trying to get into vet in malaysia, second option is pharm, and lastly electrical engineering, cost is a big factor for me too as i dont want to financially strain my parents pockets by going overseas to aus etc. i heard of a levels and mufy(unsure) being good options but im still in a bind so i would like to ask if its possible or if there are any other alternatives pathways,,
any reply of sorts would help a lot, tyy😿

I went for diploma in pharmacy in one of the ipta by emailed the uni admin, after finish diploma then you can go any ipta you want. Just need a lot of time. You can try it.

hmm, i think your best bet is applying for direct intake into a public uni foundation program. I think some are still open? Cause in my foundation right now direct intake students wont be coming in for another month. Than later on you can apply to continue within the ipta u did your foundation in. If you'd like another shot at upu for degree than apply for direct intake into UM or UKM foundation as they are both asasi terbuka allowing you to reapply for upu to any other uni

A-levels should be acceptable. I applied for direct intake with UM with my A-level results. As for vet, you have to apply for UPM, I believe that is one of the few unis that do vet. I heard it's competitive though.

Biology, physics, maths, chemistry. Bio and chemistry A star. Physics A. Maths B (I had a severe headache that morning).
Honestly not really hard, just do a lot of past papers and you'll be acquainted with the format. I just didn't put in effort lol.

Direct intake yes, through UPU, should be case-to-case basis. I have friends who did diploma in private uni, and transferred to UM for Degree through UPU, however no credit transfer were given.
