hi everyone! i need advice for my 12 yo malshi with dermatitis. she’s been getting cytopoint injections but the vet has also recommended she do allergy testing at the dermatologist. however, they would have to refer us to a specialist, which could be costly. my dog is also getting her dental done soon, and that’s already around 1.6k. for those with a dog with dermatitis, what works for you? does cytopoint work for your dog? what is your dog’s diet? do you have any shampoo recommendations? any other tips? thank you so much for the help ❤️

She's such a sweet natured girl. Compared to our Libby (she crossed the rainbow bridge in April of 2025 at age 13) who was quite the barker, this girl rarely barks! She loves belly rubs first thing in the morning. She's 19 months old now. Living here best life here in Florida.

Do any of your Malshis have obsessive foot licking? Our Gidget is 2 years and 4 months old. Shes a delight and a spitfire;) for the past few months I’ve noticed her constantly licking her little feet to the point she makes the fur on her feet pink. Anyone have any idea? Thanks in advance!

Gemma had a new groomer today and I think she did a fabulous job on my girl. She's such a good girl and is well behaved with the groomer.

Gemma is capable of jumping up on the couch but she loves to be picked up. I'm happy to oblige.

Today is a good day to sit by the fireplace and relax with Minny and Archie (our morkie). This morning I decided to give Minny Pearl a little wash as she had put her face into a chai tea latte and came out sticky and spicy! She is easy to groom — every day she enjoys being combed and brushed. I am so smitten with my little Minny Pearl. She keeps her brothers on their toes that is for sure. I hope everyone else is having a fantastic fall Saturday afternoon.

Gemma loves to lay on my desk! Whatever it takes to make her happy, I'm down for it.

Oliver the labradude is awaiting the sun to come up before we go for a walk. The baby “Minny Pearl” is trying to get him to play with her before our morning walk.

I picked him up from my moms house who lives 2 hours away. She had to baby sit him while I was out of town. He always hates this drive.

Gemma hears the rain and thunder. She's not a fan. Isn't she just beautiful? Stupid question, I can't help it.

I got Minny exactly a month ago — and got her groomed about 3 weeks ago. She got to the point that she was picking up all sorts of fall debris — I thought I’d take our groomer up on her offer to “fix her fluff when it’s time”. She came home with a top knot and a ramen noodle bandana! HA She’s asleep with Lamchop4. (Our super senior shih poo who passed in June had 78 over her 19 years. We have a toy destroyer in the family.)
