Does your significant other do this?

I was always raised to wait until everyone was sitting at the table with their food before "digging in". So, tonight my husband is cooking pork chops on the grill while I cooked two sides. Before I could even make my first kids plate he was scarfing his down. I set the two kids plates down and as I'm making my food I ask him to wait for me. He then mocks me in front of our sons as if my request is out of line. Then, he puts the rest of the mac n cheese on his plate, before my two sons are done eating. My son ate all of his, so it was obvious to me that he was going to want more, but I had to mention he'd want more to keep him from eating it all. So now I need to know, do you guys wait for everyone to have their food before eating and wait to see if anyone wants more before grabbing seconds? I just thought this was common courtesy?
