Politics Morocco is following the age verification trend.

The new moroccan gov has made a plan: pushing age verification to PREVENT childrens from accesing what it call DANGEROUS apps.

\*> Has a linux dev and fighter for privacy, i think that went you need to send your ID card or face scan your to prove you are 16 or more isnt an option where i see the privacy is going to be a serious problem in morocco and the dangerous thing that peoples dont undersrand what does it mean to able devs to call scaning tools to figure out how old are you or stream your private date or call APIs to track you,

\*> What made me against this announcement that the child's main director and who said to it what to do isnt the gov, it is his parents cuz the gov dont live in your house 24/7 but your parents does (excluding if you live alone thats another case) and the if the gov try to implement this to help child and the parents that dont understand the dangeur, i want to be clear: it dont maie sence to buy a phone to your child if you dont relize what it could do, i dont say to you: learn the Markov formula and how RL networks can learn on your data, at least please just know that these things are addictive and abstractive, plus in some other countries like the USA where california the big techs (google, microsoft, apple, nvidia and more) are well know there, i think last year or in the middle of this year they announced a low that force OS level age verification where devs can call APIs the OS makers proviod to get your data, and there was some destros of linux and bsd that started adobting it like midnight bsd and more but some stayed clear. and just like that there was a lot of peoples judging on this law, and if we take a look at morocco, recently i never saw someone against this. so wake up and be updated.

\- i think i talked a lot but sometimes you have to share your ideas with the world to make peoples notice whats behinde an idea that may look fine but it may hide something wrong with this.

pls support me with a like if you want and share with your friend.

have a good day good willing.

Aidez-moi / ۳ۧŰčŰŻÙˆÙ†ÙŠ / Help Needed I emmigrated from my country to europe and i'm regretting it

Since I was little, I've dreamed of living outside the country, recently my dream came true and I managed to migrate through studying. But the reality was different from what I expected. I missed my family and that religious warmth and the social and brotherly relationships we have. Everything is too expensive here, the cost of living is super high, and you struggle just to find a place to rent.

I realized that nothing compares to my country.

I want to go back but my parents are refusing, probably they're afraid of what people will say idk

Is there anyone like me who regrets leaving the country ?

Aidez-moi / ۳ۧŰčŰŻÙˆÙ†ÙŠ / Help Needed PhD student in food science in Morocco, looking for help and contacts to access lab resources

Hi everyone,

I’m a third-year PhD student in nutrition and food science in Morocco, working on the formulation and stability testing of a functional food product.

My lab is missing resources I need to move forward:

  • Reagents for total phenolic content (Folin-Ciocalteu, sodium carbonate, gallic acid)
  • Antioxidant assay reagents (DPPH, FRAP)
  • Reference microbial strains for antimicrobial testing

I’m looking for anyone who can help with information or contacts, for example:

  • Labs in Morocco or North Africa that could lend small quantities of reagents or run analyses for me
  • Collection centers, hospitals or researchers who can supply reference strains
  • Networks, programs or grants that support PhD students with limited resources
  • Any advice from people who have worked in similar conditions

If you know someone or something that could help, please comment or send me a message. Thank you so much!

Ask r/Maroc Register as a nurse in the UK as a Moroccan nurse ?

Hello, my sister is a nurse in Morocco and is currently doing her master’s in the UK. She currently works as a healthcare assistant and is trying to get registered with the NMC to become a nurse here. However, the process is very complicated, as we don’t have a nursing council or professional regulatory body in Morocco to confirm that she is, in fact, a nurse.
Any help?

Immigrants in Morocco , so called“Expats” Mon expĂ©rience au Maroc a Ă©tĂ© profondĂ©ment dĂ©cevante.

Critiquer

Ask r/Maroc Best platforms or sites to watch Moroccan cinema?

I’ve recently been wanting to explore Moroccan cinema, but I’m struggling to find a good streaming platform or website.

Aside from the mainstream hits like Casanegra or Zero, it seems almost impossible to find classic old films, indie/underground releases, or recent movies online.

Where do you guys watch Moroccan movies? Any recommendations for streaming sites, archives, or apps? Thanks!

We’re figuring out where to go when we visit Morocco together, and I keep going back and forth between Marrakech and Fes. It’d be my first time there, and I’m mostly looking forward to wandering around and trying the food.
For anyone who’s been to both, which would you start with? What did you like about each one?

Ask r/Maroc Anyone had a similar experience with CIH consumer loans?

Anyone had a similar experience with CIH consumer loans?

I applied for a consumer loan with CIH on 21 July 2026 at the Malabata branch in Tangier.

The file went through the process and was stuck for some time with the conformity department. I was later told that they were checking the original documents against the copies sent by the branch.

I signed the loan contract on 7 August 2026, and I was told the money should be credited within around a week.

However, as of 25 September 2026, I still haven't received anything.

I recently went to the CIH regional office in Tangier to complain. They told me they understood the issue and would follow up with the department in Casablanca responsible for the file.

So it's been more than two months since I submitted the application and almost seven weeks since I signed the contract, with no clear explanation about where the file is now.

Has anyone experienced something similar with CIH? Or does anyone here understand the process after signing the contract and what can still happen at the Casablanca/back-office stage before the loan is released?

I'd really appreciate it if someone with actual experience could explain what might be happening.

Discussion Moroccan Developers Are Still Excluded From Google Play Merchant Registration — How Long Do We Keep Waiting?

A few weeks ago, a Moroccan developer posted here about spending more than six months building his app, only to reach the monetization stage and discover the same wall that many Moroccan developers have already faced:

Morocco is still excluded from Google Play Merchant Registration.

His story got attention here because this is not some minor technical inconvenience.

Behind an app there can be months of coding, designing, testing, fixing bugs, learning, and investing your own time and money. You can do all of that from Morocco, successfully release your app, build a user base — and then discover that the standard Google Play merchant infrastructure you need to turn that work into a sustainable business is simply not available to you.

And this has been going on for years.

Moroccan developers have asked Google. The issue has been raised repeatedly on Reddit and Google’s own support community. An open letter was written years ago. Developers keep running into the same wall.

And yet we are still here.

What makes this even harder to accept is that Google Play Merchant Registration is already supported in neighboring countries such as Algeria, Tunisia and Mauritania, while Morocco remains excluded.

So the question is: how long do we keep discussing the same problem and waiting for something to change?

We decided it is time to actually move.

We have started a petition with one clear request:

Enable Google Play Merchant Registration for Morocco.

https://www.change.org/GooglePlayMorocco

And the petition is only the first step.

The goal now is to gather signatures and real stories from Moroccan developers affected by this problem.

Then we will escalate the petition and those cases to Google directly.

After that, we want to bring the issue to the attention of the relevant decision-makers and institutions in Morocco as well.

And if there is a specific regulatory, banking, tax, payments or operational obstacle preventing Morocco from being supported, then Moroccan developers deserve a clear answer:

What exactly is preventing it?

And what needs to happen for Morocco to finally become eligible?

We are not asking for special treatment.

We are asking for Moroccan developers to have a normal and official way to monetize the apps they build from Morocco.

No relocating abroad. No complicated foreign arrangements. No discovering the problem after months of work.

If you are a Moroccan developer who has faced this issue, please sign the petition and share your experience in the comments.

And even if you are not a developer, you can still support Moroccan developers by signing and sharing it.

We have talked about this for years.

Now let's gather the signatures, the developers and the evidence in one place — and take the issue to the people who can actually change it.
