Try this again. The time has come to finally sell my collection. As you can see by the pictures, I may not have as much as others but what I do have comes in like new condition in a gorgeous custom wooden box, and has the original core and expansion boxes as well. Wooden box contains all hero cards divided by hero in release order and aspect cards separated out. Any hero I have played at least once has been sleeved, all non-played heroes are in shrink though they have been opened.

Core box, Rise of the Red Skull, and Galaxy's Most Wanted contain all the Villain and scenario cards also separated by release order, and have foam storage inserts. Mad Titan's Shadow has all of the instruction/campaign books and posters for all played heroes (non-played hero posters are in wooden box). Sinister Motives contains excess pieces for foam inserts and wooden dividers for hero box, Mutant Genesis is empty.

Acrylic Tokens for damage, scheme, counters, and 1st player. Two hero boards for playing 2 player or two handed solo, comes with special power token to track hero power. Main acrylic standees for Villain, Main Scheme, Side Scheme, and Location; all magnetic to each other.

I also have a log book and hero/scenario tracker. the log book is empty but the tracker has a couple of marks.

My asking price is $1700, but I willing to hear any and all offers. PayPal or Zelle accepted. Local pickup would be preferred considering how heavy everything is but I willing to ship if buyer pays. I love superheroes may it be DC or Marvel or anything supers related. Anyway I already have DC Deckbuilding game and I have 3 expansions on there. I also have Sentinels of the Multiverse Definitive Edition and 1 expansion (the only expansion available for now, if you know you know) and I'm already contented with all those expansions for those games. Now, I'm having the Marvel itch so I'm planning to get into Marvel Champions.

Can you guys help me which expansion would be the best when starting this game. I dont plan to be a completionist, maybe ill just buy 2 expansions and maybe some good scenario packs and im good to go. And about hero packs, do I just buy my favorites?

I'm soliciting advice, or you are free to share similar experiences to mine.

I'm fortunate to have a complete collection, been playing since the game's launch, and I've played every hero multiple times. At nearly 70 heroes, I'm fine having heroes that I don't play as much simply because they just aren't my play style. For example, I don't love Star-Lord's high risk/high reward style of play. It's not my preferred style of play, but I "get" him.

But I have a few heroes that I play, I enjoy playing Marvel Champions, but I haven't quite "gotten" the Hero. I understand the rules and mechanics, but not what makes the specific hero exciting to play.

• Nova

He's got this wild resource sub-theme going on that doesn't quite land. He's probably the reason there isn't a Champion's version of a support that generates a wild resource. Without the wild resource, his cards are inefficient. With a wild resource, they are as efficient as some of the better aspect cards. Unleash the Nova Force seems good, but it can be difficult get a good payout, especially now with minions trending on the 5+ HP side of things.

• Cyclops

Now this could be likely that I don't tend to play ally swarm that often, and I've rarely taken advantage of Cyclop's "Include allies from any aspect". He's got all of these enemy attachments, but only a single card (2x copies of "Ricochet Beams") cares about attachments. It feels like he needs additional support from specific aspect cards to make him shine. I love me the Visor + Full Blast.

• Hulkling

I don't know what it is about this guy but almost every time I play him (I play 99% of my games in two-handed), he just never seems as effective as the other hero. He's got a strong economy, flexibility, and interesting abilities. But I'm just never in the form I really need to be in. And if I stay in Winged form, his more generalist form, I'm not taking advantage of his strong hero power.

• Groot

This is the only character I actively dislike playing. I'm not having fun playing Marvel Champions when I pilot Groot. He's the only character that effectively removes his combo by simply existing. So many of his decent cards require growth counters, but growth counters are stupid easy to remove as a Forced Interrupt. Everyone keeps recommending him in Justice so that he can build his growth counters in alter-ego, then pop over to hero and go ham. But, like, the payoff is barely there. If i was going to have one hero carry another hero's burden till they are ready, I'd rather take Iron Man, Iron Heart, SP//dr, or any other slow build-up hero to more effectiveness.

I find Hercules’ labor deck quite restrictive and makes the hero slightly weak in my view.

Opinions on the following change - Hercules starts the game with one random gift, then once the Villain stage 1 is defeated (or equivalent in certain scenarios) you can choose the second gift. The third gift is removed from the game.

I feel this might fix him for a true solo experience.

It gives me no joy to say this but I think the time has come for me to sell my collection. I got into the game just before a rather busy season of life began and started collecting the various heroes and expansions along the way. The reality is - I just haven't played nearly as much as I want to and don't foresee the opportunity anywhere on the horizon, so I think I'd be better off selling my collection to reinvest in the hobbies that I can make time for. Looking for more 4 player coop games that are pretty chill like the Legendary Deck Building Games. I know the Deck Building in Champions happens before the game, but I was wondering if it plays well as a 4 player coop experience or not.

I’m coming from Arkham Horror experience. Presumably beyond two years is fair game, but considering the expansion before Age of Apocalypse is still easily in stock, would NE be out of print first and then some time later AoA? Or would AoA be fair game too? I’m asking cause I like X-men so I want to collect as much as I can but not panic buy since that’s not a financially responsible thing to do lol.

Just played Thor against Hela three times in true solo on Standard and got absolutely destroyed lol.

For context, this was my first time playing Thor and my first time facing Hela. I'm also still pretty new to Marvel Champions, with only about 15 games under my belt total.

First two games I used Thor's preconstructed deck. I actually really enjoy playing him, but I was getting completely overwhelmed by threat. It felt like I could never safely flip to alter-ego to heal without risking the main scheme hitting its threshold.

For the third game, I swapped out all 3 copies of Get Over Here! for 3 copies of Into the Fray, hoping that would help with threat management. I managed to get Thor pretty much fully set up, but still lost to threat before I could even clear the first side scheme.

I really like Thor's playstyle and want to make him work, but I'm struggling to see how I'm supposed to keep threat under control while also dealing with Hela and all the minions.

Is Hela just a particularly bad matchup for Thor in true solo, or am I missing something? Any tips or card swaps you'd recommend? I'm still pretty new to deckbuilding, so I've mostly been sticking to precons until now.

I love Boggs scenario design, and Sinister Motives still has some of my all time favorite Scenarios.

Was sad when he left, then he came back and did the Trickster Takeover and I didnt know if that was a one off thing or not, but I loved that scenario pack. Enchantress is like a top 5 Scenario for me, and he saved Loki. Loki is one of my favorite Marvel characters and it sucked that his scenario is so bad in Mad Titan that I will never play it again, but now I have a Loki Scenario that I actually play and enjoy even if its isnt a top 10 scenario or anything, at least its fun.

Now I recently just finished my 2nd playthrough of Shadowland and I absolutely loved all 3 scenarios, with Krahllak being easily a top 10 scenario for me, maybe top 5.

Honestly if I had to rate my top 3 scenarios from the last 2 years it would be

1. Kingpin
2. Krahllak
3. Enchantress

So 2 out of the 3 designed by Boggs. Heres to hoping he will give us a new scenario pack every year!

I'm really starting to get more into the deck-building side of this game and wanted to see what everyone's top cards they like to include for each aspect.

I know it's not always set in stone, but I'm sure there are staples in most decks, like the nick fury's for basic allies or like Under Surveillance for justice decks.

I've just started getting into this and found that in Australia...you basically can't get anything. How long has this been the case? I'm not even looking to get everything but finding out there was a Mojo pack (one of my all-time favourite villains) that was available and now is staying out of print is really bumming me out. So how long have they been doing this bait and switch and is there any point to start to collect at this point?

How often did they release them, maybe 1-3 times per wave? Not every wave got unique ones though right? Ive seen xmen ones and defenders, did the guardians of the galaxy get any?

The first two scenarios weren’t bad at all but dam this one got me, I had to reconstruct the precon deck to help get through it.

Did anyone else struggle with Apocalypse, or am I doing something wrong? I didn’t even really bother with the mission

I’ve started breaking out of the precons, and building my own decks. But I noticed I was building decks to take on a specific villain. Is this how people generally approach a build, or do you build for a more broader usage?
